create two conferences:

I started singing star spangled banner when I read this and imagining AFL being called with American accents.

This sucks.

Instead, bring it back to 12 minute quarters, play a full double round robin with midseason games every week, and every final is a best of 3 series.

Why not? All of the major US sports leagues have conferences - yes, admittedly they all have around 30 teams, but I think we can benefit from that model too.

Because we aren't F'ing America. Stop trying to Americanise everything. Bad enough when we started getting Quarterbacks in Aussie Rules.
