With Cross River Rail works feel sorry for all the peeps going to the Airport with massive suitcases having to take buses part of the way - then get off with their big suitcases then go 150m to the train station
 
Coming home from the city (Melbourne/FlindersSt) yesterday afternoon.

Every time I looked up, there were these two teenage girls looking at me. I looked away and avoided eye contact as best I could throughout the whole journey so that they didn’t think I was looking at them. I was right in the corner of the carriage, they were right in the middle.

But as I stood up to get off, one of them (a real nasty, bitchy looking girl) screams “WHAT THE FCUK ARE YOU LOOKING AT? YEAH GET OFF YOU FCUKING WEIRDO”

I hurried off the train to avoid any further big scenes breaking out, then flipped her the finger from the platform as the train departed, but WTF???? I literally said or did nothing to them the whole time 😂😂😂

So you let a couple of teenagers intimidate you, and you're trying to suggest you're a badass cos you flipped them off as the train was leaving?

I hope you're a female teenager, or there's no excuse for sharing this story.

I was walking home from the pub one night and saw this guy running. We had a problem with burglars so in my pissed mind I thought he must have been one so I chased him to the station The train had just pulled in so he jumped on. I followed and accused him of burglary. He said he was just running for the train, which seemed to make sense so I jumped off and it pulled out. It must have been an awkward ride.

On the tram yesterday, it stops at Flinders st. I was standing up, packed tram so was waiting for everyone to get off in front of me. I feel a nudge at my back, turn around, this old bloke was there "I'm not pushing mate, i need to get off here".

I pull an Airpod out and replied we had to wait for everyone else to get off first, "oh I've missed my stop before I don't want it to happen again", i said it's Flinders St, everyone is getting off basically and we need to wait. "oh i'm an old man you need to look after me". By then we're getting off, he kept crapping on so I just put the Airpod back in and kept walking.

Got to Flinders St and he's hassling one of the Metro trains people about something, no idea what, was hoping it was going to be me!
 
Recently had a bit of a fright, waiting for my bus. I heard others wandering by using all manners of colourful language (lots of f-bombs and campaigners). At first I thought they were swearing at others nearby (probably were, blooooooooooooody bogan swearers!). But I observed that they (the male) was swearing his head off at the two females that he was with. There was also a lot of banging into things (the shelter seat + window).

As luck would have it, we were waiting for the same bus.
They hop on and head to the back, the male still abusing the people he was with, while banging into the seats and once seated, still smacking a window in frustration). They were getting louder as the bus started its journey, it got to the point where one of the females started crying, told the guy to F off and switched seats......................which happened to be directly in front of me (oh joy lol).

I was expecting the guy to approach her and either a) drag her back to the back with him or b) start something with me, being an innocent bystander in the middle of everything.

They exchanged words for a while, while I was trying to keep from looking at her, or turning back to the guy - just kept looking at the side window, hoping that if/when the male got off the bus, I wasn't going to cop an errant fist to the face.

As luck would have it, I avoided a confrontation, but surprisingly him... the three people got off together (and probably continued bickering to their next destination).

I always wonder about when/if to intervene if you see stuff like this on PT, particularly if a guy started getting violent towards a woman. Generally speaking I'm not one to get involved but yeah, I really don't know, I guess it depends a lot on different circumstances.

The thought crossed my mind that even if I said something, they'd probably both physically assault me!

And/or I also envisioned that their bickering was a ruse and they'd assault/rob me.

Yep and you don't know what they're carrying in their pocket either, you don't know if they've got mates at the next stop, a lot of variables.
