Actually we were that crap, much like Collingwood circa 1999, but if you think we were good enough to determine our destiny in those years, go with it.

WGAF? Why are all you Carlton weirdos taking shots at Collingwood in this thread? It's just Quentin Lynch...

Everything I hear and read from the Melbourne is Lynch will be at the Pies. By contrast everything that you hear and read from the Perth media says he's coming to Carlton.

Interesting to see where that one goes.

Shame to see him go but good on him. That extra year means a lot on long term saving especially if he has to go back to $60k a year post footy. Young family so needs to look after himself.

Wasn't it just 6PR from Perth that is saying that? and Nothing been said since Friday when Barrett and Dunstall said he is a Pie

Collingwood have a tendency to bring out the best in 'list cloggers' from WA

Come home boys beloved of Pies list managers forever, the same heroes who weakened the Pies list with disregard of AA selection - missed the best ever come home boy. Suckers for list cloggers are they, poor selections, incompetent list management?

The old "at least we were there" brigade. I've been hearing this from Collingwood supporters since the '70s.

Isn't this the Richmond style of consoling youself about your club being in the doldrums for the last decade? Carlton massively underachieved this year. I'm sure you would've much preferred to be saying "at least we were there" compared to "we never made it at all", especially after all the huff and puff about top 4 being a sure thing circa round 5

You make a very good point.

While many of us buy into the romance of the one club player, unfortunately it's a business and the players are employees, so they have to maximise their return before being delisted.

How does it work?

Does he go into trade week, the draft?

Can anyone swoop in before Collingwood?

Sorry if this has been answered already.
