Roosters v Tigers. GM too strong
Suns V Pirates. Pirates to rally and beat an under-performing Suns outfit
Ippy V Vic Point. Ippy seeming to start to play good footy
Beenleigh V Wynnum. In a close one, I wouldn't be surprise if Buffs get the upset though
Pine Rivers V Carrara. Pine Rivers lack of depth starting to show and Saints playing decent footy

Springwood's James pennicuick has been cleared to vic point . That's as big a clearance I've seen mid season in our comp for a while the guy is a jet and between him and buswel wouldn't be to surprised when the sharks start posting some big scores, unlucky about ruf he would have really injected some class into the mids . All in all sharks look to have set them self for a decent back half of the year .

Roosters in a close game
Suns by 32
Vic point by 22
Wynnum 6
Saints 57

Agree re Sharks, shock to see Ippy knock them off today. Pirates picked up another two injuries today early against the Suns they must be the most unlucky club in the comp as far as injuries go

Yeah Morro clearly didn't come and fix our something in the water!! No bench again today from before half time.... Can't take a trick....
Yes the footy gods dealt the Pirates another blow yesterday. To see our captain BJ go down with an ACL and broken hand just adds to the casualty list.

I think we had 9 changes to this weeks side from the game against Moorooka the week before ,but to add another 4 to the list is just shattering especially with BJ being one of them.

Whilst watching our season head south, we were rapt with the way the boys fought out the game yesterday with no bench and to see our U16 boys stand up was very encouraging for the future.

Well done to the Suns and hopefully we can get a few back next week for a must win game. Someone was saying we have had 76 players play for us this season between both grades.

Thanks to the blokes that helped us out in the two's at short notice.

Without actually seeing Bond play yet this year. I think Moorooka seem stronger than last year and will look like getting back to back cups.

I wouldn't write off Bond mate, very good side.

I'm also expecting the Suns to be a real threat come finals.

Not far off it I don't think Spades.
No doubt they are a tight unit.
Would love to see a full strength Bond before making that call though.
Will the roosters be exposed on a bigger ground?

We haven't played Bond yet but I think Roosters head and shoulders above any other side we have played.

Still think a 2 horse race and the others just making up numbers.

I do think though the level in this competition has gone up a notch from last year.

Interesting you should say that blocker as I've had separate conversations with 2 players, who both said the quality of footy had dropped again ( with the exception of the top 2 sides)

I would say Suns, Carrara, Ipswich and Pirates are definitely all better sides from last year.

I know the Buffs are in a rebuild so hard to line them up and it is hard to gauge Pine Rivers due to the player movement.

The new sides Wynnum and Viccy Point are more than competitive when they have there best sides out on park.

So I can't see where you are saying it has gone backwards?
