Be good to get out of the house yeah? There will be a lot of interest in the 1st game at home for the Panthers Vs Labrador. Should be a good crowd. We will be going, and haven't been to a seniors game since 2016. One senses there is a lot of excitement around the Panthers lately.
What's happening at the 2 Grand Finalists from last year? Bit quite on here from those 2. Surfers did it perfectly few years building their list last few years and Palmy always have a few $
Beware the quiet premier of last year and their opponent and best side of the last 4 years.... they are both strong don’t worry about that.
Foster to SP , Sheer to PBC among others.
Judge- are you really going with Boston driving to the nth side of Brisbane out of the goodness of his heart? It’s a great get for Grange so good on them. whilst I would have loved to see him back at the Cats totally understand his decision.
no such thing as a 1.05 favourite. All clubs strengthened with no NEAFL or academy series, the team that manages to gel and play to a plan (very hard with new players, non contact in-groups training, 3 month break etc)will get the chocolates. Will be a big step up in standard for the QAFL
Our Footy mileage is about 15-20.000 km per year for the last 9 years... i WAS enjoying the break! I think im one of the few that also LOST weight during the 'lockdown'. 25kg so far... (I don't recommend you try this at home..)Be good to get out of the house yeah?
Surfers will be very good, quietly confident of going well. Labrador and Morningside are my smokies, Labrador have got the top end Southport boys and Morningside top end Redland boys and Hodge.
Totally agree it will be great to see the QAFLIt is look8ng more and more like the qafl from 20 years ago or at least prior to NEAFL. The criticism then was the capability of getting drafted out of this comp. I think significant difference now is academies are on the scene. Like to think if the comp can maintain its strength, that a boy who spends a year running around with club academy/allies and comes back and plays really good footy at club for the last half of the season will be right in the draft mix. We only have 4-6 boys drafted each year max out of Qld when there is no compromises which I think is about right in the end but hopefully a few more, especially as mature agers.
I believe he’d already committed by the time Lab knew the NEAFL coaches were available and called.
Might indicate that, not sure unless you ask him.
Broady $1.05? lol yeah right I’ve heard that before. They will probably count the virtual cup on Facebook as a premiership
Would be amazing for the comp if true about Luke Hodge. As for the neafl players can only be a good thing for the standard. Might be harsh on fringe players so be it. Looking forward to seeing what teams clubs roll out in a couple of weeks time.

As I’ve said before I fear for any club that has recruited too many NEAFL players .. there’s no guarantee for NEAFL next year so Those players will Go back to their Club of origin or head south for $$$ which I think will happen if they are decent players ..
There’s way more money down south for fly in than there is up here .
Clubs that recruit big names will ruin their clubs culture for a half baked comp of 8 rounds ..
With AFL club lists getting reduced next year it’s a big chance that the lions and suns will have to use 2 NEAFL clubs as their reserves ... aka Southport and Aspley .. Redland into the QAFL so all those ex Redland players either head south or stay at Redland in the qafl.. likely to head south due to salary cap and points hit
Aspley and Redland have a good model with lower level teams but the sharks don’t so those clubs paying big bucks for sharks players or even taking them on board will only have them for a short time ...
I believe that there’s 1 club that’s taken on around 6 NEAFL players .
There’s then rest who’ve got upwards of 10 . Short term thinking will ruin any clubs culture and see some loyal players leave because they have been shunted by a NEAFL bushranger..
clubs recruit with caution .. those great young players you have could be Lost to a club that shows it’s got faith in its system and it’s culture and nature’s talent ..
I think there’s only maybe 2 Or 3 clubs that are trying to stay loyal to its original group while the rest are going for broke to win a Mickey Mouse Cup
Surely if there’s no NEAFL next year there is an opportunity to retain the Blokes that filtered back to QAFL this year
Not when the points return to normal and the money kicks in as well .. The NEAFL players will have their hands out for way more coin than they are getting now .. and the points system will go back to normal so how does a club manage that as well ..
don’t forget their is also all the accademy players not getting a game so I would be picking them over a NEAFL player ... way more up side
Absolute rubbish! Wouldn’t participate if we thought a Mickey Mouse comp! People that say that aren’t really involved! And forget the n money crap it’s always there and always will be. The fly in fly in thing is a wank and killing clubs down south, luckily not up here.As mentioned previously 86 out of 89 south east qld clubs want to play and can’t wait! Numbers at training suggest this!As I’ve said before I fear for any club that has recruited too many NEAFL players .. there’s no guarantee for NEAFL next year so Those players will Go back to their Club of origin or head south for $$$ which I think will happen if they are decent players ..

Can anyone confirm this is actually true ??
If it is I’m shocked that Clint Watts would put him into the list (I had a higher opinion of Clint than him playing Lule Hodge). Surely he’s only training to help with some knowledge.. the points He would take wouldn’t be worth playing him he’s Not getting Any younger ..
I think Luke Hodge playing would be great for the compThis could quite possibly be the worst comment I have read on here and that is saying a lot. Luke Hodge would comfortably be the most influential player in the competition and an unbelievable acquisition to their players and coaches. Please think before writing next time.

The qafl in the next 10 or so weeks will be great and it will filter down also! Get on board and I reckon you will enjoy! Cheers
