yes, you will find our old jumpers in Europe, the Pacific Islands, Alice Springs, Tiwi Islands and many other places.

Not much point in them collecting dust in a box.
I've been out of the loop far too long when I learn that these teams footy teams have more than one kit and that they evolve regeularly over the years! But yes, many clubs overseas are beneficiaries of teams that donate guernseys. Very handy buff considering the players are commonly footing their own personal travel bills across international borders. Good on Sherwood for being a provider.

Can I ask a question Thommo 42 - do you know if Vienna AFC have any form of sponsorship or sister reliationship with Sherwood AFC? Or was this just a one-off kicking-in?

Btw their opposing intra-club guernseys were provided by Griffith.

What do you mean?

There would be some clubs that roll out a brand new set of jumpers every year, while others might get 2 or 3 years out of them. Don't have to change design, they just get raggedy, dirty, ripped, change sponsor etc.

Though I know Sherwood did wear the prison bars for about 20 years until recently

Yes, exactly what I mean. It's interesting.

I know I'm a bit late here, but I'm sure some of you are wanting to know who stood out for QLD.

For me I think Will Martyn from Grange was very stiff not to be Best On for QLD. He had the most touches for QLD and used the ball effectively, and he was also excellent off the ball making several tackles.

Other major ball winners were Will O'Dwyer (Noosa) & Brock Aston (Redland).

Townsend only scored 1 goal after having half a dozen chances, he was wasteful in front.

Also, all of my Aspley players failed to make an impact in what was a congested game with plenty of stoppages. Wolbers was the exception though, having 28 hit outs despite splitting ruck time with Bowman.

So the million dollar question for anyone with inside knowledge……will a certain legend of footy in Qld get named to play in his return game?
He has been playing this year - it's not like he has been sitting on his hands for the first half of the year - so his fitness won't be too bad all things considered. Obviously a few other factors at play but you would expect him to get a gig in the A grade.

I wasn’t aware that he had been playing this year. If match fit then I agree with Longy.

Yes they definitely wasted opportunities particually second half of third quarter.
And from what I saw I reckon we were lucky to have Williams down back particually in final term.He was outstanding!

With the new President of Mt Gravatt being from Junior ranks I’m pretty sure the push will be on MtGravatt to head back to Div 1 to try and win some silverware. That’s what I’m hearing. Makes it interesting if they do ,what headquarters will do with QAFL.

Do they bring Coorparoo back in to make up 12 team competition or cut another and bring it back to 10 Teams which is more streamlined competition with 18 rounds and everyone playing each other twice
