It was a good game Mobbs, well if you’re an Aspley fan haha. Grange played well for the first quarter and were still in it at halftime, however I always knew Aspley were going to score big in the second half and they did. I do think some of the calls from the umpires today favoured us at most times, but that’s footy I guess. You get calls your way and sometimes you don’t. Great effort from Grange in the first half, but too much class from the Hornets in the end. Aspley are still Kings of the North!

It was a strong performance. Yeah I was whinging about a lot of umpiring decisions lol. Lovely old ground! Feels like it grew there out of the suburb organically. There was some loud pop music in the final quarter down where I was watching which got on my nerves a bit :D I think related to the Womens match which followed.
Was a good match to watch. Congrats!

Watched Redlands beat Broadbeach today ,,, Broady missing Erickson, Jellyman turner, Gillard,,, 3 of the best players did not help, but on the day Redlands were the better side .
 
It was interesting to see that the Surfers vs Labrador game ended in such a low-scoring affair, with the final score being just 35-27. Does anyone know the reason to such a scoreline? Were the conditions that bad?

Not sure , could of been vedry gusty/windy but so were most venues.Its more likely to be the coaching /game plans of Labrador coach be it Clint Watts ,He had Morningside playing the similiar when he coached there, A very defensive , restrict scoring game plan .....very Ross Lyons like
