Alas my Ticos (Costa Rica) have been eliminated. After a flogging from Spain at the start they defeated Japan and until late they were ahead of Germany. Ultimately they were done but were by no means the worst of the 32. Unhappily they and me are in line for the worst defeat award.
CR is a great place. I spent most of 2016 based there and had a ripping time. They have been going bonkers about their team’s efforts.

My expectations of Morocco have been exceeded already, but they were pretty low to start with, so that’s not exactly difficult to do.

I think that photo is what VAR decision was based on, and just a millimetre of leather could be still above the paint I suppose. My first thought on the live footage was definitely out though.
I await the 2050 AFL season when we may have technology this good.. guess we will have to continue to flip a coin on any VAR decision.

I feel a lot more comfortable knowing the Mexican VAR that over ruled the original decision had his prescription filled at Bondi Junction Spec Savers 24 hours beforehand.
