No doubt that the we conditions and the venue being at ANZ Stadium does help us out, but let snot forget that the Swans are also a tough team full of big bodied mids who love those types of conditions as well. Kennedy, Bird, Parker etc. thrive in those conditions. The weather will help us to negate Tippett and possibly Reid but the likes of Buddy and Franklin have that freakish ability to be able to play as smalls ones the ball hits the deck as well so it is going to be a massive ask to beat clearly the best team this year in the home and away season.
In saying that you only have to be the best team on the day the last 23 rounds mean nothing from this point on. We are in with a chance though no doubt about that.

The issue with the Swans isn't the fact they are smaller bodies or whatever (as you say they aren't) but more the gameplan. They overuse the handball to the nth degree and it comes unstuck in wet weather. DPearce is going to be very important for us on Saturday if it rains.

Importantest stat..

We are + 6 points differential over the previous 5 encounters.

This traces back to 2011. In that time swans won a premiership, and yet of all the encounters we have the largest winning margin and have played at their home 4/5 of those games, with a +6 point margin combined.

Believe guys. Believe. Anytime anyone anywhere. :thumbsu:

The wet should suit us with our pressure around the contest. Pavlich and Tabener up forward bringing the ball to the ground for Ballantyne, Walters and Crozier should result in a few goals. Silvagni will be back in to play on Buddy which he has done well in the past. Fyfe is back and generally plays pretty good in the wet.

This can go either way IMO. If it turns into a high stoppage game I can see us getting up but if Sydney are allowed to get the ball on the outside I can see them winning. Hopefully the conditions nullify Buddy and Tippett.

Freo by 13.

The coverage FTA isn't listed yet for the perth market. Is this corrected mid week? Your tv and the afl broadcast page show nothing listed.

All finals are FTA surely, but you are right it is showing up FTA in all states except for Perth.

eBroadcast.com.au has the game starting at 12:30 on channel 7 and I would trust that more than the AFL website.

And just when we thought it couldn't get any worse for our defence. Johnson ruled out for the year :( we literally have no more talls to come in, and Macca is not ready. Alex Pearce may get the call up from hell to play on Tippett :( I have a really bad feeling about this. If we lose one more defender to injury or suspension we will be in serious trouble

I'd imagine it would be live. However for those in a location where Channel Eagle doesn't come to the party PM me. I have two pretty reliable links for a live stream.

Raining today. Kids are sad but I told them it's good for Freo so they are taking it okay.
If it's wet we should throw Silvagni on Tippett instead of Buddy. Tippett's hands are bloody good in the wet and he traps it really well. Let Dawson gangle Buddy when it hits the turf
