Huge game, that was some last quarter. Looked like two very hungry teams that couldn’t get much clean football going in the midfield due to all the tackling pressure, so neither could gain ascendency. Ultimately the more solid backline and forwardline got the job done in the end.

What a game, I drank and smoked and cursed freely, I screamed and stood on top of the sofa, then jumped on the coffee table, I took aspirin coz I thought I might have a heart attack, then a couple of settling beers, another glass of red and yet another durrie...then went outside and howled at the moon, then returned for an emotional rollercoaster and in the end...it all worked out fine!!

What surprised me most was how scrappy and non-composed we became, so many panicky disposals
and fumbling moments and bad decisions after 1st quarter...thought we were better than that..intense pressure sure, but thought we were used to that..yet we regrouped and came though..the Pies threw everything at us...We'll be stronger for this and hopefully more composed next time. The greatest moment of this win was Jetta's victory stance and Eddy's meltdown in front of his embarrassed sons!!

Agree with most of that but this simply isn’t the best team we’ve had.

The team from 1991 to 1994 was the best team we’ve ever had by a reasonable margin.

Wasn't saying that this is the most successful or talented squad that we have seen play in blue and gold.

However in my opinion this is the most cohesive collective I can recall seeing. Everyone knows their role. It's not individual quality; everything is about the system - the team.

Thought I’d jump in and say Liam Ryan is an outright jet. Second time this year he has absolutely floored me with his talent against us. I definitely have underestimated him. Enjoy the week off. Shattered
