Quintin Ross the main driver behind the Div 4 side and Quinny has always been a great organizer of people... :) Great for the footy club who I know are very excited to have a 3rd mens team (mindful of not drawing from their 2's team of course) + a senior womens team that debuted in 2022. Just good to have all those extra numbers around the place.
Will Hinterland & Caloundra having Friday night teams have an adverse effect on Hinterland?

Heard that news has come out today that there are 6 new provisional licences to clubs for Friday night footy moving to 32 clubs in a 4 x 8 teams comp (Div 3 North, Div 3 South, Div 4 North, Div 4 South) and also no cross conference GFs.
Thats a good set up - 14 rounds, play everyone 2x. Localised.

What makes you say that?

Will Springfield get to play out of Brighton Homes Arena?
I was told there focus was getting everything right going into Div 1.
I know they’ve recruited well for their firsts but I also know a number of good fringe/reserves players have gone elsewhere!

If there are 2 x Div 3 comps with 8 in each, that means we need 8 clubs to be pushed up to Div 3.

Not sure they'll get 8 volunteers.
The current split in Div 3 is:
North (3): Maroochydore, Mayne, Zillmere
South (5): Sherwood, Jimboomba, Morningside, Collingwood Park, Ormeau

From South I'd suggest Pac Pines go up (Freddy Cup winners) and the other 2 from Coorparoo, Labrador, Mt Gravatt & Redlands

With North you'd suggest Northshore and Aspley. That makes 5. Not sure about the final 3 but the next 3 on the ladder were Marcellin, Bribie & Pine Rivers

You could always chuck Caloundra, Redcliffe, Sandgate in there sight unseen. No way for that to end badly 👍

I think it makes sense - its not sheep stations, blokes are playing for solid social reasons so if the comp isn't entirely even (what comps are I would argue?) then so be it. Caloundra will compete really well and if Nth Shore, Caloundra and maroochy all in one comp then I think you would find some trickle effect away from Fish rd in due course without impacting too greatly their numbers (which they have plenty of).
In the end most guys at this level wouldn't want to travel too far to get soundly beaten but possibly okay with it if on own doorstep... :)

Not sheep stations ? Even though it’s the bottom comp I’m sure most teams are taking it seriously. You’d play masters if you want it social .
