This is like the old story.

A bloke offers a Lady in the bar a million dollars to sleep with him, after getting all embarrassed she accepts.

The bloke than says how about for $20, she slaps him and says what sort of girl do you think I am.

He tells her that we established what sort of girl she is and now they're haggling about the price.

In this case here, your currently getting the slap across the face, but I'm prepared to haggle.

The conclusion is always that it easy to be loyal when you get offered $20 less so when they offer the proverbial million. Loyalty is fluid for club and player.
