R.I.P Eddie Guerrero

It's staggering how many wrestlers die young.

Used to watch Eddie a few years ago, haven't followed it much since but shocked to hear this. :(

R.I.P Eddie.

It was shock to me to, right up there with Owen Hart. Great wrestler and am glad he had that moment at WM20. Its a lesson for all wrestlers, if u go hard every day it will catch up with you. Theres been a few who have turned their lives around only for it to catch up with them. Hawk and now Eddie are perfect examples. Eddie Guerrero, u were the man!

Used to be really into wrestling and remember watching the 1 hr highlights show of WCW Nitro that channel 9 put up. I remember the first time I saw Eddie wrestle, just coming back from a major injury and he really stuck in my mind as one of my favourite wrestlers.

R.I.P Eddie.

very sad :(
another one of my favorites dying way too young

makes you wonder...so many wrestlers having heart failures in their late 30's - early 40's, something just does not seem right

Still in shock. Eddie was one of my favourite wrestlers and will be dearly missed. I was watching some of his highlights on the WWE.com website and it brought a tear to my eye. All the memories. Rest In Peace. Orale Vato!

Trivia
Former member of WWF team "The Radicalz".

Professional wrestler.

Wrestled in Japan under a mask as Black Tiger. Wrestled in Mexico as one half of El Gringos Locos with the late "Love Machine" Art Barr.

Uncle of WCW wrestler Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Younger brother of Hector Guerrero.

Once 'accidently' dumped a cup of coffee on then boss Eric Bischoff.

Wasn't an actual part of the infamous walkout in WCW but he was 1 of 7 wrestlers that talked to Busch the day before and asked for his release.

The youngest of 6 children. Has 3 brothers (Chavo Sr., Hector, Mando) and 2 sisters (Mary (Cuqui) and Linda).

Because of the age difference between him and his brothers (at least ten years) he has said that his brothers had their father as a wrestler and when he was growing up he had his dad retired. He's also stated that by the time he came into the sport he felt like a third generation wrestler. He wasn't just getting his dad's feuds, he was getting his brothers

Former four time WWE tag team champion, twice with nephew Chavo jr, once with Yoshohiro Tajiri and once with Rey Mysterio.

Former WWE United States, Intercontinental, and European champion.

Won his first WWE Championship Title by beating Brock Lesnar on February 15th, 2004.

Defended his WWE Championship against Kurt Angle at one of the largest sports entertainment events, WrestleMania XX and retained the title.

Involved in an intense feud with John Bradshaw Layfield, which involved a storylined heart attack of Eddie's mother at a house show, Eddie being arrested for damages to Bradshaw's trademark white limousine, and culminated in one of the goriest matches in WWE history at the 2004 pay-per-view event Judgement Day. During this match Eddie was smashed in the head multiple times, and began to bleed profusely, drenching the ring in crimson and necessitating a very real trip to the hospital after the event for blood loss. [May 2004]

In early 1999, he suffered serious injuries when he crashed his car. He was thrown 100 feet and sustained serious injuries to his pelvis. At this time he was enjoying success as the leader of his group in WCW, feuding with nephew Chavo Guerrero.

RIP

Some guy on ESPN Radio Colin Cowherd was mouthing off at Eddie saying nobody cares and he got what he deserved, needless to say ESPN have been flooded with calls to fire him, do your part and sign the petition going, its been up for like 4 hrs and nearly has 2000 signatures once all the wrestling websites get ahold of the link itll probably reach a few hundred thousand. Anyway heres the link

Like everyone else I am in shock. Just read it then and I literally stared at the screen in stunned silence for about 2 minutes.

A genuine superstar, and possibly the most entertaining wrestler in WWE at the time of his death.

R.I.P Eddie.

R.I.P Eddie.

There is definitely something wrong here. Vince Mcmahon is going to have to take the blame for this, how many more wrestlers are going to die? All of similar causes? They are used like cattle and although they have fame and the financial renumeration to help compensate for that, how is that going to help the young family he had left behind?

I liked Eddie. A rather charismatic wrestler and always was enjoyable in WCW, WWF, WWE etc.

A WHC match ..........

Rey Mysterio vs Chris Benoit

In the match of the year................

Both come out in Eddie T-shirts (latino heat/scarface one)

Length of match appoximately 30-35 mins

Battle of a few high flying moves and a lot of germans and belly to bellies from chris..........

Match ends with Rey hitting 619, goes for West Coast Pop, benoit catches his arm and puts on the crossface, Holds the criossface for ages, rey wont give, finally benoit gives....

Benoit gives rey the 3 amigo's and instead of a diving headbutt he points to the heavens and pulls off the FROG SPLASH........

1, 2.......3

Benoit New Champion

Both men drop to their knees, hug & cry, point to the sky for eddie

Show ends with Eddie on the titantron..........
