What happens to Selwood with his tripping attempt, oh and the beautiful jumper punch to Thomas’s head after his bump on younger brother Scott?

You seem rustled about a game that had nothing to do with your club, why's that?
Oh wait, I remember.
Wholly f***k. You do realise ling has been disowned by most cats supporters cos he su**** hawthorn players off when he commentated for 7 on an almost minute by minute basis. Ling is no longer geelong. He is hawthorn.https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/thomas-bump-a-dog-act-says-ex-cats-champ-20180422-p4zb1x.html
Since the notion of professionalism doesn't exist in the AFL media, Cameron Ling's done what Cameron Ling does best: Rushed to the aid of his beloved Cats & had a massive sook in the finest Geelong tradition.
Would he have scurried to label Thomas's bump on carrion-feeder Scott Selwood a Dog Act if a player from a different club was the victim? Probably not, but then we're all used to AFL commentators exploiting their powerful positions to launch witch-hunts against former opponents they hold grudges against.
Just quietly I thought Thomas' bump was brilliantly executed, and 10 or 15 years ago would've been rightfully lauded as the fantastic bit of play it was.
Sadly I am loathe to award it 10/10 as he knocked out the wrong Selwood.
So do you agree with Ling's assessment or is he full of shit as usual?
Is selwoods brain in his shoulder? Do you know what concussion is?I actually think it was a perfectly good hit. He absolutely obliterated him, and it was shoulder to shoulder contact.
Someone else got off earlier this year for incidental head contact after initial good contact.
But LT won't, because LT is a dog.
Yes cos when a player is concussed from a deliberate snipe and will miss multiple games its the incidents with feather touch impact that doesnt impact players at all that matter. am i right? What happens to Selwood with his tripping attempt, oh and the beautiful jumper punch to Thomas’s head after his bump on younger brother Scott?
See a pyschologist. Or go to thailand and find a ladyboy and pretend its not gay. In your case both will probably help.Hmm...
How can i get over my teams loss to Norf?
I know, Ill make another Geelong related thread!
Thomas was reported on the spot and I expect will miss games.Yes cos when a player is concussed from a deliberate snipe and will miss multiple games its the incidents with feather touch impact that doesnt impact players at all that matter. am i right?
Hmm so executing a clean bump that happens to injure someone is worse than deliberately punching someone in the head, the media have trained you well.Yes cos when a player is concussed from a deliberate snipe and will miss multiple games its the incidents with feather touch impact that doesnt impact players at all that matter. am i right?
Do you know what blindness is?Is selwoods brain in his shoulder? Do you know what concussion is?
Do you even need to ask mate? Joel Selwood is a protected species - he can get away with anything he likes, even eye-gouging.What happens to Selwood with his tripping attempt, oh and the beautiful jumper punch to Thomas’s head after his bump on younger brother Scott?
None, he is a clean player. A few Hawfies under the microscope though unfortunately. How about Al Clarko blaming congestion for his players' illegal actions? Congestion caused Mitchell to elbow Goldstein 100metres off the ball. How many weeks for Clangerfields slamming the head into the turf ?
What happens to Selwood with his tripping attempt
Free kick given, maybe just play on. Game reviews supposed to be operating under a modified system this year though, so the question needs to be asked. Probably sfa, the jumper punch is a little concerning thoughAn attempt, nasty.
Fyfe got a Brownlow for a full on trip so you never know.
Dermie was doing his absolute best cheerleading after the match to try and talk down the dog act committed by the coward Lindsay Thomas, thankfully the rest of the panel had sense and called out his bullshit.
Clean bump in the head whilst one player tries to pick up the ball. that has never been anything but a snipe of the highest order. Dog act and any supporter who thinks not has questionable morals.Hmm so executing a clean bump that happens to injure someone is worse than deliberately punching someone in the head, the media have trained you well.
Wasn’t in the head for starters, and you’re allowed to bump someone who is going for the ball. Wipe the sand from your vag please.Clean bump in the head whilst one player tries to pick up the ball. that has never been anything but a snipe of the highest order. the jumper punch is a little concerning though
Be surprised if anything more than a reprimand for the trip. A fine for the jumper punch unless the footage shows conclusively contact to the head.Small fine maybe, and another fine for the dog Thomas for punching Joel to the throat.

I care if he gets off or gets weeks. If he has done nothing wrong, and public opinion hangs him, I care. Looked a good hit to me. Can't say I like him as a player, and it was brutal, but looked good.Funny as this thread is, you need to re-evaluate your opinion here.
I don't care if he gets off or gets weeks, but while an arm may have been between the colliding bodies, it certainly doesn't cushion a couple hundred kilos of opposing force. Have a think about the physics here.
Don't be one of those AFL facebook nuffies and stick to your guns about how this was a fair hit - it really makes you look thick.
Seconds before the hit, Selwood dropped to his knees to avoid a tackle. If he hadn't done that Thomas would never have bumped him high.
