Banana, aboriginal player ohhhh what a coincidence!

Surely any normal people would think twice after picking up the banana if your only intention was to throw something...

I would be pretty confident in saying that just about everyone picks and chooses what they get offended about. Does some choose what you get offended about for you?

I will rephrase it. I laugh when people pick and choose what causes they want to stand up for while rolling there eyes at other things talking them down as not important

A normal person wouldn't throw anything at all!

When I was watching the broadcast I was a bit worried about Betts standing there seemingly baiting the crowd. However he was just looking for the crows fans to get his acknowledgements for a super goal but doing it at a showdown surrounded by Port supporters was waiving the red flag at the bull. You could see the Port supporters starting to boil as he was there for a while and it seemed like something was about to happen. As he walked away some guy came flying down the steps towards him. Onus is on the fans to restrain themselves but that match was at fever pitch and he had a part in the frenzy. I personally love that stuff but it's only a matter of time a fan goes too far (worse than throwing an object maybe a punch). I don't want to see fan interaction end love that stuff but perhaps on this occasion he needed to quickly assess the situation, smile, turn and celebrate with his team mates.

Zero excuse for what the woman has done that's a ban.

You obviously know her very well to understand her mens rea at the time of throwing the banana.

I could be wrong of course, but the math is leaning in one direction.

1. She knew what she was doing.
2. She had no idea of what she was doing.

We'll hear about this through the day and let's see where it goes.

Something will happen on day, unfortunately.

Must say I'm proud of us that nothing seriously untoward has come about yet.

I must be in the only minority group in the world no one ******* cares about.

It sucks being left handed

Try being me mate.

I write left handed. I bat right handed (cricket you filthy minded peasants) and bowl left handed. I do the javelin and shotput with the left hand and the discus with the right. I kick right foot and handball left. Golf right handed and tennis ambidextrous.

I'm so confused. :huh::huh:

How have I defended her once. I quoted a poster that stated she must be a Lib voter and was indicating Lib voters were racist. I just laugh at people who pick and choose what to get offended about.
First post was about your step daughter and that she eats a banana for breakfast, so you must be racist.
Second post was about been left handed.
3rd post was about Dunstall been called fat.
Deflection. Red Herrings.
As for picking and choosing what to get offended about: If you feel that you have been vilified because of your left handedness, or because you give your daughter a banana, or feel so passionate about defending Dunstall from personal attacks, then make a thread about it. If you feel hard done by because Liberal voters have been depicted as racists, then by all means make a new thread.
I may well come to your defense...."SJW" that I am ;)!!

No. The act of throwing projectiles is not a racist action by itself, banana or otherwise.
Maybe I just have a higher requirement for proof before labelling someone is all.

In the providing of that evidence I agree. Racist.

The sort of guy who requires the burden of proof to be one hundred percent - not just ninety.

*slow claps.

.

They is a very strong and clear classification for attitudes just like this one. What betts did is done every game. And you call him and him out alone for it.

Spot on. Firstly no excuse for that behaviour at all. No problem with her being banned. Eddie is a star and that was a great goal but he did act like a figjam in front of opposition supporters and that will always get them charged up. If he had kicked that goal and acted respectfully he would've got a different reaction all together.
