Me not 7.

You guys should seriously take off your coke bottle glasses and take a proper look at the kid. The only position for him in the team if we have to keep him (because he's a liability at the moment) is FB.

Dnt know if you watched the game yesterday but Rance was one of our best, actually being at the game and talking to him afterwards was really insightfull. He played on Robbo and absoulutly towled him up, these are the forwards i can see him playing on as he has the speed to go with them. I also learnt somthing else when talking to him i couldnt help notcie that he was the bigest 19yo iv seen, at the club in a while. BTW asked him why he was droped he said "Matchup reasons".

What a bunch of ill informed tools.

Attack ther man when you run out of arguments.

I have stated several times that non-kickers have no place in our long term futher and rance is right up there with the worst of them.

I challenged people to name all the poor kicks the last four premierhsip sides have had and the best they come with is...one per team?

One moron even came up with james Kelly. We would kill to have his kicking skills in our team!!
It is not a personal attack on rance but rather a totally corrrect judgement that he can't kick and that we should trade him whilst he has some currency amongst the ill informed ones.

I would give Rance at least another 2-3 years not 1, Beaver. He is a 2nd round draft pick who is highly rated and only 19 years old. I see him replacing Moore.
Personally I'd give him that too, I said at the very very least. Regardless we have too many players ahead of him in the firing line anyway.

Greg Williams couldn't kick when he started and was able to become one of the best ever players. You just have no idea about player development. I too know guys from other clubs. The chief reason he fell to us is that the recruiters were worried about his pace and NOT his kicking. His 20m sprint time was 3.0sec and they felt his closing speed may find him out. Whilst teams left him out of their first round, I know many teams were ready to pounce in the second round.

What a joke. he quotes the extreme example.

Greg wIlliam's biggest problem was his pace not his kicking. The game has changed singificantly since then when plenty of non-kickers made it.

I repeat for the sixth time, tell me all the non kikcers that the premierhsips sides have had??? I come with Mooney. kirk and thats...about it?I know for a fact that several clubs rejected him due to his kicking. Full stop.

Trent Croad & Robert Campbell immediately come to mind, you still can't spell mate:eek:

Why don't you just go have another surf and a cone. Not much else to do in Geelong. Footy is not your thing

Uh, Buddy Franklin?

Hi guys,
great swell at Jan Juc today.

Frankliln? that would be the guy who kicked 8 in a final against the dogs?

Right!

I think I know who is having the cones.

I will continue to stick to the facts...we have 8 bad kickers and need to get rid of them!

Nah the guy who kicked 2.11 earlier in the year. You got the wrong man.

And for all the talk of Pears, I couldn't go to the game today, but was he on Riewoldt for all that time? If so, he got convingly pantsed.

Exactly, and when he was recruited he couldn't hit the side of a barn from point blank.

Sorry, I concede.

Rance will be the next Franklin and I just can't see it.

The day Rance kicks 8 goals even three goals will do me, i will go he!

What a stupid comparison

You asked for poor kickers in a premiership team, not poor kickers in the backline. How about Cam Mooney? Lewis Roberts-Thompson from Sydney in 2005 was a far worse kick than Rance and he plays a similar position. How about that smart arse?

I already mentioned Mooney....mr rocket scientist.

I didn't say no bad kickers , go back and hvae a look . I named kirk and yes perhaps lewis thompson.

I originally said we had 8/9 poor kickers, of which Rance was one and in the very poor category.

They didn't carry half a team of poor kickers..

The fact is that the mechanics of his (Rance) kicking are not that bad and so that is what you should look at first and foremost. This leaves him excellent scope for improvement.
By the way, I am not a rocket scientist. I am an astrophysicist by profession. That is quite different I'll have you know!

Thought that was worth a mention, made me chuckle. Anyway if you've thrown yourself off the Rance bandwagon at suicidal speed feel free to make yourself a target. If you're a logical, well adjusted human being and wish the kid malady well sally-forth and spread the unlove. I hate your socks.

Hope your righ and he is re-selected this week because the more games he gets under his belt the better! The fact that he towled up Robbo is proof (IMHO) that he would be an asset to your club.

The Hawks Premiership team last year had Sam Mitchell, Campbell Brown, Steven Gilham, Brad Sewell and Clinton Young who all had kicking issues as inexperienced players but rectified them to become part of a premiership team.

Sam Mitchell?? Clinton Young? Are you serious? What exactly were their isssues, they hit too many targets when they were inexperienced players?

Mitchell would be in our best five kicks!

Sorry PHX, no idea here
