I’m the guy in my social group that people come to for information on people that they randomly meet. I’m know for my stalking abilities to the extent that I wold be doing a PI course if there was a higher job opportunity.

I used to be like that, but then I realised it was a little weird. Although people on here do tend to drop hints sometimes.

Companies usually won’t print existing logos due to copyright issues. Unless you had permission, they won’t do it.

Was thinking of doing a World Cup sweepstakes for the board. Not sure how we'd do a prize for it though - people could chip in or even if I have to fund something myself like BigFooty Premium for a year or getting a custom jersey/guernsey made up or something along those lines...

Yeah yeah nah nah guys, without derailing someone else's portfolio even further than they already are being at this point.

While ripping off someone else's concept is a bit ****en shit,

i'd love to see someone else take the concept on though for something similar for their own state but yeah

@cargo plane, you've literally invited this in a post from your own portfolio. And before you go 'oh, but they've even copied my layouts and shit' well yeah that's how it's always been, the newer/ less good designers have always copied the guys that make the best shit on this board, hell every template I whipped up was partially/ completely traced from someone else's before fixing it to be more my own. It's just more noticeable now that everyone is trying to some cool presentation shit for all their posts, you're the benchmark champ, of course everyone will be copying you.

So let's go back to your WAFL portfolio.

that didn't go so well last time I tried to do that (see: AFL 2029 as a follow up to AFL '99), like I got it done but it took nearly three years just because the motivation wasn't there, and I can see myself losing motivation for leagues where I have very little knowledge on. i'd love to see someone else take the concept on though for something similar for their own state but yeah, at this stage I can't see myself following on with this for other state leagues.

Considering this was in response to someone else asking you to do other leagues, you've absolutely left the door wide open for someone else to do their own.

I have no problem with inspiration etc., but it’s a bit lame when your entire concept is borrowed down to the opening post. People are welcome to do their own folios and it’s awesome to see and maybe I should just sit down and shut up because at least people are designing but yeah, it’s lame having something piggybacked off my own folio when I intended on using the concept further going forward.

The SANFL one irked me already, but to have two now that are just sequelling off mine without so much as asking if it’s cool is kinda lame IMO.

Which one is it @cargo plane, are you doing another one or nah? You can't go around saying you won't bother to do one then get shitty when someone else does because there's a remote possibility you will now.

Nah, it's not cool that people have just nicked your portfolio concept, but you've absolutely indirectly invited them to.

But I'm also gonna pot you once more, listing all your competition wins in your sig is a bit of a wank.

I put more time and effort into this than I have any of my assignments this semester, I hope it makes more sense than any of them did.
