What's the significance of the ball that disappears from the finished product?
It isn't a ball; it's acting as a handle.
 
Over the Summer I made a new personal icon that most of you have probably seen (the LMD monogram) because I thought it was in need of an update. I wasn't really happy with it due to it being a little too complex. After some brainstorming and a few rough sketches, I settled on this:

This is beautiful, and it goes perfectly for someone doing a lot of sports based design.

Not really sure where to post this random (design related) thought...
But as illogical a decision it was to have Fremantle playing in their clash strip in last years Grand Final, seeing photos and video of the event, I look back on it fondly as a visual spectacle. The jumper matchup was strangely seamless and even somewhat iconic...
Now if only the game itself was such a spectacle...
