I just checked his stats to give me an idea of how good he is without Mumford, and he's averaged 85 without him there. And he's durable. And he's improved his average every year by 10-15 points. 90 could be on the cards and he's now in my team.

Hmmmmmmmm you actually make a very good point. I don't think I will select him for my DT, however SC rucks are dominant. Pyke is definitely on my radar now. Never considered him prior to this.

Nice Team, Trade Bartel to McVeigh and KKolod to Mcdonald (North) I think there are better options than having both Ablett and Pendles. Maybe trade one of them to Watson/Cotchin who are almost 100k cheaper. Then Longer to a Cheaper ruck option. Maybe Tom Derrix then use the Cash to upgrade Daniher to another Gun Forward.. Maybe Zorko?

backs: hodge, j grimes, burgoyne, watts, d swallow, s edwards, howard, strauss
mids: bartel, mitchell, johnson, swan, ablett, michie, tyson, polec, blease, ellis
rucks: cox, sandilands, longer, currie
forwards: chapman, dangerfield, roughead, lrt, franklin, bock, dayle garlett, kennedy-harris

$115k still in the kitty.

thoughts?

yeah this year was the only year i wasnt to sure about the new draftees espically the rucks honestly had no clue,

Haven't seen anyone select Heath Shaw in the few pages I've read. Any news there or?

One of the first picked in my side. Has been an extremely consistent 80+ scorer for 8 years and is now at a worse club where he's one of few senior players.

Agreed. Suspect that GWS will want to get the ball in his hands to setup out of defence. Keepimg a close eye on his PS form

Injured? or just won't get a game? With Goodes, Morris etc ahead of him?

For starters, he's just not very good. He has shown very few AFL qualities, and even in the VFL he's been underwhelming at best. He was drafted as a hard running midfielder with a booming left foot - unfortunately he doesn't seem to have the football nous to break free and get himself into space, nor has he shown anything resembling a good kick apart from in very rare patches. A huge majority of the Dogs board are surprised he was retained, let alone being close to getting a regular game.

Secondly, he starts the season behind a whole raft of players. Bob Murphy, Jason Johannisen, Tom Young, Easton Wood, Liam Picken, Brett Goodes, Jason Tutt and perhaps even Daniel Pearce (one to watch but I don't expect him to score too heavily), as well as the touted possibility of Jarrad Grant and Shaun Higgins (when they return) playing down there, and added competition of Fuller and Darley. There is far, far, far too much competition for him to get early games, especially for a player who has shown very little, even at VFL level.

Additionally, he's just had double hip surgery.

He will probably get a couple of games throughout the year as this is definitely his last chance, however, most Bulldogs supporters will be staggered if he's still on the list come next year.
