My only fear is this team is a bit vanilla, but it looks strong to me. Rookies are obviously placeholders until after NAB Cup. Rucks are a risky, I know. Watts is a gut feeling, even though he burned me BADLY last year. I think Roos will turn his career around (and a few others as well).

DEF:
Mitchell, Bartel, McVeigh
Suckling, McDonald, Howard (Laidler, Fuller)
MID
Ablett, JP Kennedy, D. Beams, Watson
Cotchin, Murphy, Michie, C. Beams (Dunstan, Polec)
RUCKS
McIntosh, Sandilands (Thurlow, Currie)
FWDS
Dangerfield, Franklin, Martin,
Wingard, Watts, Rohan (Bock, Kennedy-Harris)

My team, I think it looks strong. My ruck is my weakness but you need a weakness somewhere to start. What you guys think?

DEF: Mcveigh, Hanley, Seedsman, Suckling, D. Swallow, McDonald (J Tippet, Laldler)

MID: Ablett, Barlow, Watson, Mitchell, Beams, J Martin, C Beams, D Garlett (Ellis, Sheehan)

RUCK: Lobbe, Grundy (Currie, Nalsmith)

FWD: D Martin, Cloke, Dangerfield, Wingard, Daniher, Fasolo (Bock, Rohan)

Sorry about that forgot to post all but here it is:

Need your rating. Been playing for 4 years last season my lowest was 1900 and peaked 2442. But I need you opinion about back should I replace D swallow with a rookie like kade kolod. My best mid is Ryan griffen. The rest are good as well but I am unsure whether to get a high primo like gaz or swan for captain or just put danye beams captain or griff. Rate it please. I think it is good but still unsure about swallow.

DEF: J.McVeigh, S.Mitchell, J.Bartel, Corey enright, M.Suckling, D.Swallow (J.Laidler, L.McDonald)

For some reason i can only see the defenders or you did not post the rest of the team. But the defence for my liking You have Mcdonald on the bench. Trade Enright to K,Kolod then trade ? Bartel to M.Fuller then you have got a lot of cash to buy a GAJ or another premo forward. Post the rest of your team.

Here is my team:
DEF: J.McVeigh, S.Mitchell, J.Bartel, Corey enright, M.Suckling, D.Swallow (J.Laidler, L.McDonald)
MID:Watson, Griffen, Beams, M.Murphy, D.Thomas, D.Tyson, J.Martin, D.Sheed (may change but I am a eagles supporter and heard great things in my forum might change if he is not picked), (J.Polect, C.Beams)
Ruck: Mcintosh, sandilands (S.Naissmith, D.Currie)
FWD: Franklin, Chapman, D.Martin, Dangerfield, Faosolo, M.Clark (N.Bock, G.Rohan)

As you see I like to take risk. I don't want to change Murphy, thomas, sandi, mcintosh (maybe but will do later), Franklin and chapman I believe they will all pay off. I like my team but what do you think about my mid I think I need 1 high premo for captain like gaz or can I just put it on watson, griff or beams?

Here we go lads:

McVeigh, Mitchell, Hanley, Grimes, Suckling, McDonald (Simpkin, Fuller)

Swan, Ablett, Watson, Cotchin, D. Beams, Thomas, Tyson, Dunstan (Polec, O'Rourke)

McEvoy, Sandliands (Currie, Thurlow)

Dangerfield, Franklin, Robinson, Zorko, Clark, Bock (L. Taylor, Rohan)

Have too many Hawks and still not sure where Toovey is at in his recovery but here goes.
Backs: Birchall, Carlisle, S.Mitchell, Toovey, D.Swallow! s.Docherty, (Schoenmakers, Litherland)
Mids: Ablett, Pendles, Cotchin, M.Murphy, Steven, Vlaustin, Shiels, D.Garlett, (O'Rourke, Hallahan)
Rucks: McEvoy, Grundy, (Currie, Lowden)
Forwards: Danger, Wingard, Gunstan, Buddy, Cyril, Rohan, (Kersten, Markworth)
Aware Cyril is rubbed out for rnd1.

Reckon Shoe and Carlisle could rack up big scores if they swing forward.

I must be one of the few staying away from Dusty this year.

Here is my first draft:

7ixn.jpg

Getting Hogan at that price tag is a big risk. He hasn't played in the AFL yet, and because of all the hype around him, he may not be able to handle the pressure and he'll perform poorly.

My Team thus far:
DEF: S.Mitchell, B.Waters, D.Swallow, M.Suckling, M.Scarenberg, M.Fuller (C.Howard, J.Laidler)
MID: T.Rockliff, S.Pendleburry, J.Watson, J.Selwood, D.Beames, D.Thomas, C.Beames, J.Martin (D.Garlett, J.Kelly)
RUCK: M.Lobbe, A.Sandilands (B.Longer, L.Pierce)
FWD: P.Dangerfield, D.Martin, T.Cloke, M.Clark, A.Fasolo (G.Rohan, J.Tippett).

Cash Left: $17,700k
Projected Total: 1754 (without Scarenberg, Fuller and Martin)

Post your team in this thread and give feedback on my team and others! :)

Waters way too injury prone, he's not even a sure thing for round 1 with a shoulder invention you'd be better off going with Hanley, Shaw

X Ellis at $135,500 is a steal. Word is he's training hard and is fit as a fiddle and will play round 1. At $135,500 how can you not put him on your bench? Buddy is also a big one, not worth the risk imo, and to all you roos fans, what's the talk on McDonald? He likely to start round 1?

Initially I had Swallow but have changed to Atley at least for the time being. It's only 11.2k but Atley is cheaper and is ready to produce more regularly I hope.

Here's my second draft with $243,300 left. Strengthened my weaker forward line with Chapman.

BACKS: Mitchell - Hibberd - Hanley - Atley - Suckling - Fuller (Byrne - Jones, Strauss)

MIDFIELD: Pendlebury - Watson - Thompson - Rich - Savage - D. Thomas - J. Martin - Michie (Nathan Gordon - Ellis)

FOLLOWERS: Lobbe - Sandilands (Longer - F. Thurlow)

FORWARDS: Dangerfield - Sylvia - Franklin - Chapman - Hogan - Lamb (Bock - Lennon)

Added Hibberd because I needed an extra premium defender. Dons do look to him often as well which will mean higher scores
Atley was just a little cheaper than Dave Swallow and going off pre - season reports alone he is ready to start living up to draft hype
Byrne - Jones and Strauss were cheaper players who could make an impact but I think I've got 6 best 22 players in that starting back line.

Nathan Gordon a ripper price and could bring something straight away to that Richmond team. Will be a watch and see selection over the NAB Cup.

Lobbe I've picked over McEvoy for now because he will be first ruck and ruck majority of matches most weeks. McEvoy has to contest with Hale. Another wait and see over NAB Cup. Thurlow I've added as a very cheap ruck option who might be a chance early with Bellchambers possibly missing.

Chapman I needed to add to strengthen my forward line. Bock as another cheap option who has been a proven goal scorer in his career and comes at better than draftee price.

Lamb is the one I really want to have a good look at. New club, I think he'll play more regularly and I don't think he'll be pigeon holed to a forward pocket role like he was at times with the Swans either. Definitely capable to run through the middle and rack up the ball meaning higher scores.

Not considering him as a selection but has anyone seen Cam McCarthy's (GWS draftee) profile on the list of players to select from. I was just browsing to see what his starting price is etc. and couldn't find his profile. Seemed odd.

Again appreciate any feedback on the team

What are your thoughts on Savage and Rich? I was thinking about them but I'm now not sure.

Hey guys, please take some time and give me your thoughts on the following players.

Paul Seedsman
Marley Williams
Shuan Atley
Tom Hawkins
Daniel Rich
Shane Savage
Jed Lamb
Kade Kolodjashnij

Thanks.

Don't quite get the Jed Lamb love here, and I was a fan of his when he was a Swan. He's a small forward opportunist, who thrives on crumbs and opportunity. Poor guy might die of starvation at the Giants.

I'm picking Seedsman, at this point anyway. Seems to have cemented himself in their backline last year and they look for him to kick the ball regularly. With Heath Shaw gone he should definitely get a game and will possibly lift his output. Good unique option in my opinion.

Rich, meh, seemed to consistently score 60-80 last year, could definitely improve but will likely cop a tag. Could pay off, he's got the talent to rack up huge scores. He's an option.

I'd be going for Lamb, but I heard he was injured (calf? may have been another player, can't quite remember). Will get a game if fit and could rotate through the mids. Others will be able to elaborate.

I'd pick Birchall or Houli over Seedsman, Thomas over Rich, Clark or Fasolo over Lamb, McDonald or R. Shaw over KK and wouldn't look at Williams or Atley. But Hawkins is a winner and Savage is quite a good pick too.

Whitecross will miss most of 2014. Don't pick him.
