Ok, so I've gone with a bit of strategy. I'm going with a round one team and a round two team. Quite similar, but more Saints players in the first one. Would appreciate any feedback :)

The only things I'm concerned about are my round 1 rookies, any suggestions would be brilliant.

Montagna won't play Round 1. Looks like Melbourne will be the Sydney of old where DT scores against them will be poor because they hold onto the footy as much as they can. I'd be staying away from Saints players for the Round 1 squads.

Very different to mine, but not sure on Nahas playing or scoring that heavily if playing

Probably change Buckley to another rookie, not sure he will get a game early. Gleeson from Dons could get a gig

First draft - mainly to see how much it changes in the end. I always think my first team is the best haha.

B: McVeigh - Mitchell - Swallow - Suckling - Kolodjashnij - McDonald - Scharengberg, Howard
C: Ablett - Watson - Beams - Murphy - Thomas - Martin - Kelly - Aish - Beams, Acres
R: McEvoy - Sandilands - Longer, Currie
F: Dangerfield - Martin - Parker - Franklin - Billings - Bock - Hogan, Lennon

Always like to compare my first draft team.

Save any injuries or minor change to rookies this will be my team for Dream Team

Mitchell - Hodge - Simpson - Swallow - Suckling - McDonald / Tippet + Laidler
Ablett - Rockliff - Liberatore - Beams - Shuey - Polec - Ellis - Duncan / Crouch + Cunningham
Cox - Sandilands / Derickx + Currie
Dangerfield - Martin - Walters - Caddy - Higgins - Rohan / Bourke + Impey

I rate Liberatore are both a value and growth pick this season. Caddy also represents good value IMO

Not convinced it is possible to start three rookie MIDs this season

Walters is an interesting unique, possibly suspended in Rd. 1?

Hey guys looking for a bit of feedback on my team. This is my first year having a crack so not super confident on my decisions.

Some guidance would be appreciated. Was thinking i might have to upgrade one of my cheaper mids?

Thanks.
Yeah if Walters does get suspended might swap.
I aim for league win, never gonna win the car, so I choose to have more rookies for cash growth.

Not much point in leaving Rockliff out against Hawthorn. He always dominates against good teams even if we do shit.

I've ditched the round 1/round 2 strategy altogether, it's a bit further up this page. I am deliberating over Watson/Rockliff though.

Same. My bench is bottom basement anyway, I could downgrade some bench rookies for an extra, say, 80k... But it doesn't get me much. Would rather go into round 1 with a full bench in case there are late outs.

115k-ers? Most of mine are 135. I struggled to get anyone I thought likely to play at 115k.

The only different player for round 1 I really wanted was Montagna and he's not playing anyway, so it's just not worth it.

If it was me I'd be going Barlow > Jobe, Hawkins > Caddy. But that's just me

Yeah Caddy is someone I was looking to squeeze in but couldn't quite do it. You reckon Jobe will be alright with the possible sanctions hanging over his and a lot of Essendon players heads? I suppose in AFL Fantasy it doesn't matter that much since we've got so many trades, just have a feeling Jobe will have a bad year for some reason.

edit: Didn't realize Caddy was so cheap.
