Pretty strong back line. Been tossing up re Goddard but have pretty much decided that he's NOT worth it given he may play a different role this year. Still, it weighs on my mind....

Mids are good but as I have said earlier, near enough to 3 starting rookies in one line is a risk IMO.

Think you could save soem coin in the rucks. Then again, if you just start with 2 premiums/keepers you won't have to worry will you?

Fwds look handy but as you have said, Hall is a worry on the field but very cheap if he gets back to his top form.

Not convinced on Thornton but we'll see. I would of thought Bower was a better option for a Carlton backman??? Gilbee is still in my bad books after last year and his game on Friday did nothing to change my mind. I'm assuming Heath Shaw???

Funny how I can see Ablett maintaining his price tag but not Hayes or Pendles. Bartel is a work horse and those rookies look to be the best picks. Bastinac looked pretty handy yesterday.

Rucks are good but is Warnock going to play???

Ballantyne impressed yesterday but up until now has not been on my radar. Same with Higgins but he's hard to ignore isn't he?? I've finally relented and gone with Pav but in the mids. That way I ahve 4 mids/fwd with two in each spot. Ziebell & Pav, ROK & Dangerfield.

Not a bad backline mate. 3 definate keepers. However I think gram is more suited to DT, but he might be worth a risk, so go with your gut. Not sure on Moore wither, not very stable for someone starting on the ground.

Good midfield, although I see more value around the same price as Swallow, big breakout year last year, can he continue?

I see Pav and Ziebel there. Obviously MPP with ROK and Danger. However, I just can't see many opportunites to even use MPP thrughout the year, it is highly likely you may not have to use this new feature, and it is just a straight swap anyway. Therefore, picking players based on this is'nt reccommended, there is more midfield value elsewhere.

Sandilands a lock. Iffy on Seaby. I think hes a bonafide spud.

Your forwards are good, although is hitchcock going to be guaranteed a game enough to start on your field?

Not bad though mate.

Heath Shaw I'm assuming?? Backs look solid but again, a lot of people are avoiding having both Ladson & Hunt in the team. It is difficult to ignore them at those prices but the risks there are obvious. Hurn is one that worries me if he can live up to last year. If he does, he'll be an upgrade target later maybe.

Interesting mids. Pretty much the three guns I started with but have since changed all but Ablett. Good players but will they do much more this year? If you plan on keeping them all year then they should be good.

Good rucks. Hille should fire and can't go past Sandi.

Very strong fwds. I'd take Dangerfield over Medhurst but that's just my opinion. TD-L may not be the best emergency.

I think you're defence is pretty good. I especially like the pick of Greenwood, who I had in my side for a period of time. To be honest, I'm not sold on Ladson - is he completely over his injury? Premiums are good.

Midfielders are pretty much flawless.

Sandilands is a good pick but Hille? Every man and his dog seems to have him, and I realise that his price is low, but he's never been a huge SuperCoach scorer and for me, the risk is just too big. Good emergencies.

Very nice forwardline, too. Personally I'd try and get Dangerfield in there somewhere, but each to their own.

Defence very strong, not sure about Hurn. Unique premium selection but will he go back to back on impressive years. Gilbee yet to prove anything this preseason. Like the Dempsey selection. Classy player.

Forwards strong too. I think ROK is an upgrade target personally, not sure abour Gray, but Port have shown a bit in the NAB Cup

Not a bad team only problem I see overall is the fact you don't have many cash cows otherwise its fairly solid.
Backs- Where is Goddard playing this season? forward/mid sounds as though he will be rotated and wont be the one running off HB. Hunt takes the kicks in so he can only lose points for clangers there.
Mids- Good midfield expect for Burgoyne mainly cos of the interupted pre-season.
Rucks- Mcevoy has looked good, will Clark score the same with Leun back?
Forwards- Forward line looks good, only problem I see is Boomer with age and durability.

I picked Gibbs because he could well be up there as a Brownlow fav this year, and Juddie's gone, which means he has to step up. Plus, Rohan probably > Rockliff.

I'll revert the team back to the way it was.

yep you are right juddy is gone for a few rounds , that also meaning Gibbs will get the no1 tag which will be tough to handle for the young man.

Dont take shortcuts on your rucks ha.... Hille and NicNat are both big gambles. Seems to be a pretty solid team there with a few unusual picks.

Reasonably happy with my team at the moment, bound to change a few names around before round 1 though. Trying to take a bit of a different approach this year, had a reasonably sucessful first year last year (think i finished around 1000th.) Aiming for a top 500 year this year.

Who is Farmer do you know something the rest of us dont?

Robinson is an interesting pick but I think you could downgrade to Trengrove and save yourself $100k then upgrade your rucks.

I'm not sold on Ballantyne either. I think that you could either downgrade him or Wona to a rookie and upgrade the other.
