[Main Man]

2nd year players tend to fail dismally, I'd only contemplate one of Ziebell or Dangerfield this season. No on Suban and Vez. look at Hunt (Geel) no accountabilty so great cheapies across the backline hence a pretty damn good SCer.

Not a fan of Clark despite his good year last year, not sure if he'll back it up this year, I'd either upgrade to the SandMAN or down to Tippet.

Like the mids a lot, can't really go wrong with those premiums.

Forwards are fairly weak, Chappy is awesome but injury prone, he tends to miss games when you need him. Plus he's very pricy for someone who won't play 20+ games a season. You definately need another proven premium in the forward line, ROK, Goodes, Roo, Pav are all fine choices.

Backs likewise need work, try downgrading Goddard for the plethora of value that lies in the backline this year. Maybe Newman, Bock, Enright... Not sold on Ellis. Maguire is a decent bench option. I'd try not play a rookie down back as there are multiple cash cows down there this year.

Ellis used to always be a shoe in for me in previous years... solid scorer and can get 100+ on occasions but i dont see him playing a huge role this year.. dont know why just think he may drop off... Veszpremi on the other hand is a very good player and i think he will start to come of age this year... last year he had a few injuries which kept him out a while... i went to school with him and saw how damaging he was at TAC cup and school footy level and if he can play to those standard in the AFL he will be a solid acquisition

I like your team....but a few things.

Unsure of Raines and Gilbee in the backline. Gilbee burnt me last year and can cop a tag at times.....I am also unsure of how many games Raines will play. Rucks Mids and premium forwards are solid......Burton is suspect with injury and Talia is far from a guarentee to play this year....i would look towards either of ur bench player in the starting spot or even gumbleton if he gets up

Whilst normally I would agree with you, Danger is in his 3rd year (physically) and ready to explode and Ziebell is physically ready and shown his best is very handy. At those prices I feel they are good options but ones to watch over the NAB Cup.

Fairly good team IMO. Highlighted are my issues. I see Raines behind a number of rebounding defenders at Brisbane and don't really see him playing a huge role for them, injury prone too.

Adelaide have a history of not playing their new draftees and at this stage Talia would be behind Davis, Bock, Rutten and McKernan(?). I don't see a role for him up forward either.

I also don't like selecting Riewoldt in a starting team but that is purely one of my rules. Just doesn't have the big scores early in the year like he does after around 6 rounds.

I like the Burton selection, is his role likely to be the same as last year? He didn't really score well enough last year but was coming back from injury.

Gilbee will return to his best this year IMO. His focus was not on footy last year for obvious reasons.

Don't like Fev a fantasy scorer, too inconsistent for mine. Obviously we need to see how he is going to be effected by Brown and Clark drifting forward.

Don't like Malceski just don't think he will get back to his best but he is having a good pre-season, certainly one to watch. Moore, I don't know enough about but was highly touted and one I have considered. Will he be in PA best 22?

Overall a good team that I don't have much issue with.

Backline needs some more work. First I would select Hodge as a backman, lots of other options in midfield. You need at least 3 premium backman, Goddard is your only one.

Mids look good. Except Judd is out for the first 3 rounds, so aim to trade him in about round 5.

Rucks Good

Forward line needs some work. Chapman won't play 22 games, he is very injury prone. Medhurst is too hot/cold.

Overall try and have at least 13/14 premium keepers

Personally I think your backline is lacking a bit. If I was you I would put Hodge into the backline in place of Ellis or Toovey. Then put J.Trengove into the midfield. This should free up some cash to upgrade Higgins to a premium forward. Also, Judd is going to miss the first 3 rounds of the season so maybe pick up M.Murphy or J.Selwood to take his place? You can always use a trade later in the season to get Judd back if he's having an amazing season.

You might also want to consider trading Chapman for Goodes. Chapman is a gun but he is a bit injury prone and you want someone who is more likely to play every game this season.

Just my opinion.

As was said in the previous 2 posts id tweak the backline a bit. Personally id steer clear of Ellis as he really enjoys an injury whenever he can find one, Waters is another one under an injury cloud that has hovered over his head for most of his career and well into this pre season.
Ladson looks ok on the numbers however I still think there are better options out there.
As for the mids Vinces price is inflated and I dont think he will love the hard tag. Judd being out has been said.
Rucks Petrie I like and I guess Ryder isnt that bad an option.
Forwards your continuing on the injury theme Chapman Higgins and Waite is asking for trouble. Drop Higgins although he is a star he will cost you. Hold off on waite and Chapman is a risk but could come off. Medhurst no. Thats my thoughts here are my boys:

i like the backline but i feel there will be too much responsibility for hooker to score consistantly well. Krakouer is an interesting one...good value last year but im not sure if he'll back it up.

midfield is solid although im against two first year players in your best 22...its risky but could pay off...not something i'd go for though. also your leaving a bit of cash on the bench with morabito.

As mentioned before im not entirely sold on nicnat just yet for this season. i think he'll be good but david hille will score better

very strong forwardline...maybe someone other than rockliff as im not sure that hes guaranteed a game, despite how talented he is...perhaps another option would be ben reid of collingwood...at 177 K or so hes a handy pick in his 4th season and a new backline role (hes listed as a fwd though)...high disposal getter in VFL last year

Backs are Ok mut I'd probably start a rookie there.

Mids need work. Goodes will drop in value. better to trade him in later when he winds up. Probably a good idea to get in one of either Ablett, Swan, Pendles, NDS or Montagna.

Rucks seem OK.

Fwds are pretty ordinary. Roo is good. Stevie J will drop a few games on you and the rest are a little meh..... Need at least one more big gun in there I reckon.

Intersting mid field but should score well.

Still a question over Nic Nat but rucks seem good.

Fwds are very handy.

Solid team with good mix of premiums, keepers and value picks.

Backline is all good IMO, except for Gillies, Obrien for me is underrated and IMO is about to take the next big step in her career.

Love the midfield, except for adams starting, maybe downgrade one of your mids for trengrove or martin.

Rucks are solid, however abit to much spent in the reserves.


Fwd Line is solid as, abit of a question mark over Watts though, he's cheap so i can understand your reasoning behind picking him, however i think next year would be the year that hes really going to stake his claim in the afl.
