Nice team.
Rnd 13 bye is going to hurt your defense, otherwise looks good :thumbsu: Possibly change Fisher to a rd11/12 bye player - Broughton, Enright?

Goddard, Deledio, Shaw, Broughton, Hargrave, Darley, Morris

I have $111 100 left in my Salary Cap

I'll start with the good aspects first :)
Midfield looks ok, but I strongly suggest that you move Goodes to the forward line in place of Reid then grab a cheap dual position player to take his spot in the midfield (pfeiffer, kerridge, etc.). You also have a lot of players in the rnd 13 bye (Ablett, Judd, Mitchell), I would advise you to switch either Judd or Mitchell into a round 11/12 bye player (Boyd, Swan, Pendles, Priddis, Rockliff, Swallow).

J Kennedy's scored will be up and down as most key forwards are. With the huge amount of cash you have left over you could upgrade him to a premium round 13 bye player such as Dustin Martin.

Now to your backline.....
I recommend starting from scratch again as the current backline will kill your team. A good backline will have 3/4 'premiums' which at present are Goddard, Deledio, Shaw, Fisher, Broughton, Scotland, Enright, Newman, et al. These are all good scorers in SC. You just need to keep the byes in mind and not have too many players in the same bye round. Fill the rest with rookie/cheap players (<$200k) - a good thing to do is to research your rookies as they can make or break your team and bigfooty is just the place to do it (supercoach boards, club boards):thumbsu:

Your main aim is to upgrade the rookies into premiums throughout the year once they generate enough cash.

Hope this helps

Firstly, Caek I like that team. Im still toying with ruck choices - 2 premiums or 1? I have decided to go with 2 premiums so that Will be 1 trade not worth worrying about. Also, not that many good value cheaper ruck prospects who could act as cash cows IMO.

My team is based around picking the premiums who I want in my team by the end of the year and selecting cash cows that will definitely get playing time. I have zero mid-price players, as someone who averages 80 is nowhere near the same value as a youngster who averages just under but is 200k less.

Here is my team:

Guntouchables :

Defenders:

1. Goddard, B - 2. Scotland, H - 3. Shaw, H - 4. Grimes, J - 5. Bugg, T - 6. Darley, S - 7. Brown, L - 23. Ellis, B - 24. Smedts, B

Midfielders:

8. Ablett, G - 9. Swan, D - 10. Murphy, M - 11. Selwood, J - 12. Shiel, D - 13. Neale, L - 25. Miles, A - 26. McDonald, J
$106,6000

Rucks:

14. Mumford, S - 15. Sandilands, A - 27. Giles, J - 28. Stephensen, O

Forwards:

16. Franklin, L - 17. Goodes, A - 18. Fyfe, N - 19. Martin, D - 20. Cameron, J - 21. Hampton, C - 22. Treloar, A - 29. Kerridge, S - 30. Hall, A

Concern for me is the selection of Grimes. If he can stay fit, I think he'll be a top 10 defender this year and will be an absolute steal. Rest of the team I am happy with, but would be interested to get some feedback.

Just a question if anyone has SC gold yet. What is everyones protected total with there current sides according to SC gold? Mine is 1857 at the moment, im not sure what they project for rookies, maybe 0??

Nice team Hollywood. For me Scotland is a bit overpriced. Couple of better priced players out there that will score as much as he will. Shiel is injured and wont play for at least the first few weeks so bench him or trae for another. Rucks very strong and forward will be ok and make cash for you early i suspect.

As for mine. Its frustrating. Changed it up to 8 times allready. Thinking it will be an ok team. Would love heaps of criticism.......

Backs: Goddard Delidio Shaw Enright Clarke Darley Morris (Brown Blee)

Mids: Pendles Ablett Boyd Thompson Kerridge McDonald (Reid Magner)

Rucks: Mumford Giles (Stephenson Jenkins)

Forwards: Franklin Goodes Chapman Martin Dangerfield Saad Smedts (Hampton Hall)

Nice balance, though I think Scotland is a little overpriced and I would also try and upgrade Swan to Pendlebury as I think he is worth the extra money barring any mishap between now and Round 1. Would keep an eye on Pavlich/Goodes as they are both getting on a bit. I like that you've gone for the less obvious rookies too.

My team below:

TEAM NAME: Thuggee

DEF: B. Goddard, B. Deledio, H. Shaw, G. Birchall, M. Clarke, L. Spurr, T. Bugg (T. Golds, N. Blee)

MID: S. Pendlebury, G. Ablett jnr, M. Priddis, J. Selwood, J. Magner , J. McDonald (M. Baguley, C. Hampton)

RUC: B. McEvoy, H. McIntosh (J. Giles, O. Stephenson)

FWD: L. Franklin, D. Martin, T. Cloke, D. Zaharakis, T. Hawkins, A. Saad, B. Smedts (S. Rowe, T. Couch)

CASH LEFT: $25,200

Obviously the ruck is my weakest link and McIntosh and Hawkins are the two risks, don't think I will have the cohunas to go through with this lineup come Round 1 and will most likely will get a rookie for Hawkins and upgrade HMac (and maybe upgrade Birchall to Fisher).

Gibson and Magner are going to be fighting for the same spot, depending on who gets a game first.

Any suggestions welcome :)

First of all nice team.

Clarke has a hamstring problem not sure how long he will be out for.

Pendlebury price is a lot to pay, I'd look at D.Swan instead.

I'd downgrade McIntosh to Maric, Maric should have a big year being the number 1 ruckman at Richmond. Similar to Jacobs and Adelaide. With the left over cash I'd upgrade McEvoy to Cox/Mumford.

Overall: 8.8/10

I'd steer clear of Grimes but it's your decision to make. Save some cash by downgrading him to Clarke/Lake/Hargrave etc. then upgrade to Deledio later on in the season, for an example. Someone like Hargrave could earn you some serious cash and become an upgrade target. I believe he can consistently score around 90 as he is an experienced head down back and is one of the few rebounding defenders in that team. He had a terrible 2011 and looks to have put that behind him.

I'd have another look at your rucks as the round 12 bye will earn you nothing in the ruck department instead of ~200 points. Mumford, Sandilands and Stephenson are in the round 12 bye.

Also, I'd look at putting a DPP in your midfield. Someone like Kerridge would be a good option.

Rest of the team looks good :thumbsu:

Thanks for the output Cotter, will give Maric some thought.

I would go for Team 2, for mine as I would happily pay whatever Pendles and Franklin's asking prices are. I know a lot of SC coaches think that these two are expensive premiums but my theory for these two players is that they are must haves and is that it is a bigger risk not having them in your side, especially Franklin (and more so if he spends time in the midfield).

Not sure about Goodes, Pavlich and Chapman being in the same team tho. They will still get good consistent scores but I cant see their scores getting higher than years gone by... These guys are super reliable but I've become a little ageist in recent times with SC and have a policy of not picking anyone over 30 years of age (or under 80kgs), shocking hey :p

In saying that the backline looks a little more stable in Line up 1. Haven't seen enough of Handley (or the Lions in general) myself over the past couple of years myself to comment but the wraps are big. Will watch this space...

Kreuzer is an interesting one, I think he will punch out some huge scores at times but get the feeling they'll be followed up with sub 70/80's. Am not writing him off as yet but I think the risk/reward is a little high for me.

throw some thoughts my way guys?? heres my team, just updated a bit with the news of clarke out for maggies for a couple of weeks.

BACKS: Godd, Deledio, Shaw, Grimes
Wilkes, Smedts, Bugg

FWDS: Buddy, Goodes, Pav, Cloke, Martin

i have gone very strong in fwds and mids and have a few good DPP link ups that im happy with. lots of gws players, but,, thats where the money is. by time the byes are here they should be halved.

grimes im not 100% with, but i just upgraded him from clarke, and now i have only $15,600 left, but if theres an easier option to not leave me with only 3 premium backs let me know.

rip it apart people! i want honesty! still a while away from round one so plenty of time for changes. :D

Hey guys was just wonder if you had any thoughts on this team. New to big footy, first time this year I have decided to take supercoach seriously.

Defenders:
Goddard, Delidio, Shaw, Birchall, Broughton, Ellis, Mohr (Spur, Bugg
Midfielders;
Pendles, Ablett, Wingard, Docherty, Horsley, Kavanagh (Treloar, Magner)
Rucks;
Leuenberger, McEvoy (Giles, Big O)
Forwards;
Buddy, Steve J, Pav, Martin, Cloke, Smedts, Hall (Pfeiffer, Couch)

Know a bunch of them are rookie listed at the moment at have 60k in the bank so hoping some of them get elevated.

Cheers guys.

Everywhere on the ground is exceptional, apart from your midfield.

Trust me, last year I was going to start with only 2 premium midfielders, but then I realised how much that would've hurt me and I was lucky I changed it when I did.

Take out someone in your forward line (either Stevie J or Pav) and downgrade to a rookie (Saad, Hampton, Cameron etc.), and do the same for the backline. Take out either Birchall or Broughton and put in a mid-pricer. Use the money left over to upgrade Wingard and Docherty.
