Bluetiger i think that duffeild is a little overpriced and ur rucks seem a bit week.
I think that ur bench players and starting rookies also look pretty good.

First go at my team, $32,300 left in the bank

I see BlueTiger you have put Brennan in, a nice unique pick. Still dont like Gumbleton starting, he is a more bech player. I wouldnt have 3 Expensive Premiums in your mids, get rid of one and get a midpricer and you your extra cash elsewhere.Get rid of shepard starting, not guaranteed matches in 2010. What i do like is the pick of Gilbee, plenty of Upside this year

Your team is better, i would just iron out those problems

Agreed.. Possibly a bit top heavy in the forward line too

Senrulz, XisdonisgoodX, Axel and Footycool and others....what do you think of my team below, now ive tinkered slightly.

Nice team but not sold on Knights and Sylvia, you should downgrade them for a Gray/LeCras type then you'll have enough money to upgrade Selwood or Kennelly for someone like Goddard.

The rest is good nice work. :thumbsu:

Not a bad team at all. Just watch out with Enright and Bartel as they will be moved around alot and most likely they will be getting limited TOG if Geelong are winning. Forward line is a bit heavy, maybe you could put some more money into the defence to even your team out abit. Otherwise, it's a pretty good team.

Not made for big scores. Probably wont score over 80 all year. If you are getting him, you will be looking at solid 50-60 average. Not good enough.

I was reading this morning that he's been working on his aerobic capacity and there's talk of more midfield time. I was thinking he could be a good unique improver if that turns out to be true..

Well if it is true that he will get midfield time then he might be able to reach a 70-75 average which would be worth it at his price. Need to keep an eye on him in the pre season then.

Suban is going to get more midfield time, there isn't any doubt about that. And even when he isn't in the middle, you can guarantee we will be looking to get the ball into his hands as often as possible. I'd expect an average of around 70, not enough for a keeper but enough to make some money.

Also can't help but think people with Sheppard are going to be a bit disappointed come Round 1, and scrambling to find money for an upgrade....

My team has been pretty settled for the last couple of weeks, so it should stay that way until after the NAB Cup....

Brendan Goddard, Jed Adcock, Luke Hodge, Jordan Russell, Joel Macdonald, Scott Selwood, Marcus Drum
Andrew Moore, Jeromey Webberley

Adam Goodes, Brett Deledio, Jobe Watson, Chris Masten, Dustin Martin, Anthony Morabito
Ryan Bastinac, Luke Shuey

Aaron Sandilands, Shane Mumford
Robbie Warnock, Matthew Lobbe

Ryan O'Keefe, Matthew Pavlich, Brent Harvey, Matthew Bate, Robbie Gray, Jack Ziebell, Chris Mayne
Phil Davis, Trent Dennis-Lane

Can't say I'll take any advice/criticism on board, but still wouldn't mind an opinion or two....

Minimal. :)

The way I see it, my team has 10 premiums. And then Russell, Macdonald and Bate who will be my bottom ranked keepers. I'm a bit more realistic about Gray, Selwood and Masten, but they should improve enough to the point where they wont require two trades each to be upgraded.

Backs
Enright, R Shaw, Hodge, Malceski, Kennelly, Glass, Hunt
Mcguire, S White

Mids
G. Ablett (c), Selwood, Cooney, J Kennedy (Syd), Trengove, Martin
Cunnington, Bastinac

Rucks
Kreuzer, Mumford
Warnock, Bass

Forwards

Dennis Lane, Tapscott

Any hints or thoughts would be much appreciated.

Cheers

really like that team:thumbsu: IMO opinion one of the best of seen so far.

Love your pick of Russel, while I dont have him in my team atm, i am seriouly considering him.

Only things I mights do is trade McDonald to Ellis, Mayne to Danger and Mummy to Hille. Although McDonald is very durable:thumbsu:

Yeah right. It's not really my cup of tea exactly.. there's a couple I'd look to change but it's at least different to most of the teams I've seen posted here. You've gone with some interesting uniques. Overall, I reckon it's not too bad at all. :thumbsu:

Edit due to the above post: Leave Mayne. Great pick (I'm sure I don't have to tell you). Every man and his dog has Dangerfield.

Not sold on sylvia or sheppard atm. 55k left i could upgrade sheppard to hunt or ladson but not sold on them either

Backs: Very unique, which i like, Jordan Russel is very iffy, but go with your gut. Love the pick up of Marcus Drum, his price will rise AT least in my opinion, and looks bound to play games. I'd wait and see Joel Macdonals Nab cup form, Melbournes back line will see a shit load of the ball, so could be a steal at his price. I don't know much about your bench.

Midfield: Yet again, unique, don't know about picking up Goodes in the midfield, i'd rather get an elite midfielder and get him as a forward, Deledio still looks to havea bit of upside, Watson is a very under-rated dream teamer, nice pick up there. Rookies are solid, and bench is solid. Should work well, during the season id look to get a Geelong/St Kilda midfielder in there.

Rucks: Sandi, gun, may i need to say anymore, Mumford very risky, for me i wouldnt pick him, but he does have a bit of upside. I have a strong feeling about Robbie Warnock being very solid.

Forwards
: You've gone heavy with your forwards, IF i was you, i'd get a different gun to Pavlich from the start, just to see how his scores are the first few rounds, as he has a new role, Love the pick of Gray, his a superstar, Mayne and Z, id watch there pre-season form, but i think Z is a safe enough pick.

Hope that helped you brother :thumbsu:

Thanks for the opinions.

I base a lot of my selections on my gut, I don't bother getting the prospectus because I trust myself more than some random person giving a one line summary on a player.

Macdonald scored reasonably well at Brisbane, despite often playing as a key defender. With Melbourne's decent young key defenders, I think Macdonald will play more of a loose man/half back role. Especially with more midfield time for Grimes.

Jordan Russell was Carlton's best player in the second half of last season (yes, better than Judd). He has found his spot in the back half, and I see no reason why he wont take over from Scotland and Carrazzo in the back line.

Mumford is very much a gut pick, but he should be the #1 ruck at Sydney. He wins hitouts and tackles well, so he should increase in price enough to be of value.

And I've had Pavlich every year since I started playing, it just wouldn't be DreamTeam without him there....:)

All fair enough points, i just gave you my opinion.

And about pav, i forgot you were a Freo supporter. ;)

Heres another effort from me, please critique as much as possible!
cheers

Backs: Osborne and Hodge have said Ladson most likely won't start round 1. you might need to look at Broadbent or someone else. Gilbee is a decent DT defender, but i'd keep an eye on Harbrow in the NAB Cup, he took over Gilbee's role in defence and was a very strong scorer late last year. otherwise only Stratton strays away from the norm and since you're a Hawthorn supporter i assume you know something that most don't about whether he will play.

Mids: Your first three keepers all have potential upside which is good. I like Sylvia in that you can use the DP to move Ziebell/Dangerfield in and out of the midfield and upgrade them to a forward or midfielder of your choice. Mcveigh is an alright choice, although he's only played 14 and 12 games the last two seasons.

Rucks: Brogan could be an inspired choice now that he's the sole no.1 ruckman at port. he could also be pretty average considering he's never scored that well in his career. i personally prefer a Kreuzer or Tippett if you're going mid-priced.

Forwards: Nothing wrong here at all. maybe an asterisk against JBrown as we don't know how the Brisbane forwardline will function. otherwise all good.

Forwards are my main concern at the moment & probably trim down a defender & mid to gain some more cash for a better forward structure?

1st shot at making a Dream Team so see how I go :)

Downgrade your bench players to 90kish players, look at some other teams to see decent rookies also i wouldnt start 2 expensive rucks, i would downgrade cox to a kruezer or tippet. That could save you 500k+ just doing that. Your better off to start rookies in the midfield then forwards. Full backs aren't good dreamteamers. Just a few tips to help you out for ur first time.
