Rate My Team (Part II)

I've gone for a slightly less dominant forward line with the outlook of upgrades - didak, pav, roo etc as I am unsure of their first up form and $$$$ - having said that, I have $48,100 in the bank and was thinking of keeping that for the upgrades. Thoughts?

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Enright, Shaw, A.Otten, D.Heppell (Toy, Duigan, Lower)

Mid: Swan, Selwood, Montagna Pendlebury, m.Duncan, A.Gaff, M.Hibberd (Conca, d.Swallow, r.bewick)

Ruck: Sandilands, Cox (Smith, Derickx - unsure on derickx now)

Forward: Chapman(unsure), Franklin, Goodes, Varcoe, Krakouer, M.Brown, Prestia (C.Richardson, B.Matera, d.petrie)

Keeping in mind Round 1 byes and suspensions.

backs
shaw is seen by most as a risk but i had him last year and he performed alright. otten is being talked up as the 'sub' for adelaide.

Mid
solid. will gaff play rd 1?

rucks
i have the exact same but i've swapped smith with keeffe

Fwd
chapman (from what i've heard) may not be ready for round 1. isn't varcoe also under an injury cloud? goodres, buddy, krakouer will be in most teams. matera, prestia and richardson i have but petrie missing rd 1 and the multi byes has scared me

I'm newish to this as well so really cant comment on other teams - as I'm frankly not sure what I'm looking for ... but I'd appreciate any input into my team:

Note that Gibbs will miss the Prelim final week for SC. Just a forced trade to make at that point
Steer clear of Heath Shaw. Grimes much better
Rob Tarrant is very unique, but wont become a keeper, so ur better off changing him to Toy or Dan Stanley and saving 80k

MIDS:
SWAN, Dane; JUDD, Chris; BARTEL, Jimmy; BOAK, Travis; SWALLOW, David; HARRIS, Daniel

Same with Judd as Gibbs. That's 2 forced trades if you make a prelim. Not a bad midfield..

same again.. lids in the mids is interesting? dont like gaff, eagles kids never score that well. atley, bewisk, polek,... better choices.

My issues: 1, i dont have gibbs. i havent got him for the same reasons ive advised people above me, but its still shitting me... he is going to avg 105+ all yr, does it matter im forced to burn a trade come prelim if i make it???? if i get hmm, who do i drop?

Simon Buckley? really like him, but i dont need him and hibberd for MID DEF..

Everitt - have been looking at him all preseason, can ge avg 90+ which is what i want from a defernder to be a keeper..

Mids... Boyd/Jack. jack is a kinda somkey for me.. boyd is a gun but more suited to DT.. who do i go over him? Selwood (worried being #1 cat) if not joel, Bartel??

Forward line, i want yarran and higgins... just worried with higgins injury history and yarran, well, i just dont know.. argh!!

Any rookies im missing? better options? HELPPPP lol
