Stay away from Dangerfield and Brown in my opinion also Higgins.

Strong midfield but I'd have Swallow instead of Anthony to save some cash.

Get Harris instead of Weller aswell.

Having Adcock and Otten in your team is risky, both coming off injuries.

Overall good.

As for Goodes v RoK, Goodes is ment to be slowing down after a slower than average 2010. I think this was based on the fact he played foward far more than 'average' (no Bradshaw). As for RoK, he was in career best form prior to a groin injury he carried for the rest of the season. If fit (whihc it seems he will be) he could easily return to his best (I'm talking the odd 150+ here btw). So I've got both (one in MID & one in FWD to swap through the year for injuries etc

Stay away from Dangerfield and Brown in my opinion also Higgins.

No probs Nugget

Higgins has too many soft tissue injuries for my liking and might break down.

Adcock coming off a knee? will take time to become a consistent scorer. Drummond is a better choice if you had to choice between him or Addy.

Otten is looking the goods

I'd have Ziebell instead of Dangerfield.

He is bigger and stronger and fitter than ever and cheaper I think.

What team is Weller? Harris will be a consistent scorer. If you want to win the comp or league, you gotta go with your head and not your heart.

Fair enough. Swallow is going to be similar, I wanted to fit Anthony in but then I might pick him up when his price drops because North play Weagles, Collingwood, Bye and then Freo. Still might change my mind.

Sold Midfield but I'd go with another premium as you have the cash left for Gaff or Swallow perhaps. Harris is cheap and will be a consistent scorer for you.

I think your whole teams needs abit of work.

Solid backline. Take out Cheney though, I would assume he'd struggle to get into Hawthorn's 22. Even if he does, he most likely wont score anything big.

Decent mids. Rich hasn't shown much since his debut year. Could have a big year, but I doubt it, especially in Brisbane's struggling side. I'd get rid of him.

Rucks are ok. Using Petrie as your second ruck is a big risk though. I'd think about changing that.

Don't like your forward line much at all. Bar Roo, none of them are consistent. Rioli and J.Riewoldt could be big this year. Banfield could improve. Houlihan and Bradshaw need to go I reckon. I'd also think twice about having a rookie ruckman as the 7th player.

Grimes, Adcock, Otten is one and probably two risks too many in the backline, you might also consider switching one of your current B/C's to the midfield or choosing again because you have no B/C's to utilise the MPP possibilities.

Midfield is solid bar Scully - but it's one of those choices where it's a matter of backing your judgement, personally I don't see as much upside from him as other options.

Hille is way too injury and suspension prone to even casually consider IMO, not sold on Jolly being great value, but rucks are hard to choose this year. Not sure why you'd include J. Tippett who is expensive for a player unlikely to get games (AFAIK) when you have no R/F in the forwardline to swap him with?

Like your defense, the forward line has three risky players - Franklin, Sylvia, Knights - I'd be looking to minimise the risk by cutting that to one or two of them at most. And again, like your defense, you have three MPP players in your forwardline but none to switch them with in your midfield.

With byes and even the new sub rules, it's going to be important to be able to support the depth of one line with your bench depth from another line. You could easily build some better MPP functionality into that side without compromising on the quality of the players.

Pretty solid base of a team, but yeah u do have a couple of worries in the fwd line.
Reiwoldt - good

Sylvia - very much high risk high reward. Hes shown that he can score well and could explode and prove to be a good point of difference if he puts it all together.

Varcoe - Injured shoulder but dont let that affect your decision, he would have still been able to run to build his fitness. Personally i like this choice, he is one that im looking at thoroughly.

Knights - if he gets over his injury worries could be a good pick. Probably not a keeper but will make some good coin before an upgrade.

Lecras - a bit of an iffy choice. Yeah he can pump out a massive game, but unless he can get up the feild abit more i cant see him scoring higher consistently.

Hurley - Good for the MPP and possibly a good choice if he plays in defense. Id stay clear if he lines up in the forward line for the bombers. Cant see him getting enough opportunity to score well.

Dennis Lane - not liking this one much. Id say upgrade to tippett or downgrade to hale to get the MPP for petrie in the rucks

Surely you have a little cash left over?

Your backline has the same first 3 players as most, which is fine, Drummond and Murphy are risks but have the potential to score big whilst Drum & Tarrant are unknowns.

Mids are solid with Cotchin being the risky pick that could pay off big time.

Rucks are solid again, interesting to see how Goldstein goes this year.

Forward line looks very injury prone to me and Morton is up and down with his form although he did have a strong finish to the 2010 season.

I think it is a big risk to go without Goodard and one of either Swan or Ablett. These 3 are so consistant and you can make them captain with confidence. Depending on where Hodge plays he can be a risk and I would swap for Swan. Hodge is a jet but if he plays defence and picks up 15 touches it really hurts. Swan got under 25 touches only twice in 2010.

I would be careful with Goldstein as well. Once McIntosh is fully fit they will share the ruck work. I like ruckmen that will be the ruck for 80-90% of the time and have little competition - Jolly, Jamar, Mumford etc. I think you have most of the cheap locks - Heppell, Toy, Ottens, Petrie, Swallow and Wallis. Toy especially is a standout at just over 100k. He would have gone top 3 in last years draft if not taken as a 17 year old.

McIntosh is a risk - no pre-season with and Anchilles op. Will not play until at least round 4. Hard on the rest as we don't know how much $$ you have left - fill the emergencies.

Thanks for your reply , Yeah I know but I just dont see how I can get one of them in and Ablett is ABIT risky this year.

Also I was thinking maybe keep Goldy for abit then upgrade to a premium like Jolly or Mumford?


Also maybe Okeefe for R pettered and then Montagna to Goddard (I dont have any Mid/Backs in the mid so would be better then Swan/Ablett, and I dont really want 2 saint players so would upgrade Montagna not Pendles or Hodge!

Alright Shuey to Gaf, Pendles to Chappy, Montagna to Goddard, Okeefe to Didak and im taking a risk with Drummond but it could work out so Hurn to Drummond

Took a rick with N Krackouer but he has to play in the Gold Coast side, . Not sold on Cotchin but word is he is flying Zaharakis will hopefully play more in the midfield and with Hill and Cotchin have break out years. Left Ablett out for the 1st time is years. Swan a safer bet in 2011. Would have liked to add Cross but too much $$. Like the players that don't get tagged and always get 25+.

Need the kids to be good early - Swallow, Heppell, Toy, Gaff, Atley, Wallis, Day - so I can upgrade early.
