Yeah i call BS. Can't see why the club would sack Ratts now, a proper process at seasons end is the way to go, we can still make finals......as for Ratts falling on his sword, he ain't no quitter.

Just as an outlandish side though, Brown coaching a win against the Pies on friday night would be hilarious, a former favourite son sticking it up the filth.

I hope for ratt's sake that this is not correct. If it is true and this is the path the club chooses to take, there is no time like the present to make a statement both internally and to the rest of the competition. Carlton were extremely slow last time when Pagan finished and missed all opportunity to recruit the best available, by being the first club to make the move this year, we will be the first in the market to start negotiating (assuming this has not already begun) with the best available, putting the club in the box seat.

If this rumour is in fact correct I really hope the club keeps ratten in some capacitywithin the football department, (a) for some ROI and (b) with his experience he surely can be of use to whomever is to take over.

If the OP is wrong then lock the thread but we should wait until tomorrow before locking. I agree with a coaching clean out but not before we organise the replacements. If it happens I won't be overly concerned but if we fill this position with someone second rate then we are in trouble. Our last clean out of assistant coaches, IMO produced miss after miss after miss. Maybe our people in charge of sourcing coaches are different now.
