As a collective, this coach has a genuine team ethos.

There's no individuals, and if you play your part, you are as important as any other.

That may sound pithy, but for a coach to get such, (what was a questioned bunch of introverts), positivity, is a new page at Princes Park.

Just got home....wow wee yip yip yahoo

Cannot believe we held firm, what a win
Gibbs was incredible best complete game I have seen him play, Dre's best game ... Doc down back the general

A champion team will always prevail

I love Bolton

To those who want to boo ask yourselves this question. Would the coach you are all crazy about, Bolts, be someone who booed opposition players? No is the correct answer. Bolts personifies a more balanced, reflective approach to playing and watching football. Get with the program!!!

I booed so much I felt light headed and almost hyperventilated!

Massive win that one, Bolton got your blokes playing some ripping footy.

Future looks really, really good. And a decent chance of taking that 7th-8th spot for the finals this year. Love watching Cripps, gun.

FINALS...GTFO

Gibbs-haters or Gibbs-traders ??

I'm one of the latter.
Sorry, no longer allowed. Apart from a great game today he showed leadership and camaraderie. Ran up to Simon White after a spoil/turnover and wrapped him up in a big hug.

He's playing for the jumper and the club. More upside in keeping at this point to play at his best, lead from the front and set examples to youngsters.

That's it, lid is off...so is shirt.. Pants not far behind!!!
I thought our win a couple of weeks ago against power was up there with the best...today topped it!!!
Very brave, tons of character and grit on display.. Damn proud!!
I'm down next week for game against Lions..bring it on mofos!!

Cracking game today. Before the game I was thinking that today will really define the Blues' character for this year.

If they have a real dip all day after being thrashed by the league leaders the previous week we'll know they have developed that hard competitive spirit that successful teams all have. A team that doesn't just play on confidence, but on effort!

Not only did they play 4 really hard competitive quarters of footy they also adjusted their centre bounce setup from last week to win the clearances today. Then after Geelong ran the ball too easily from their defense into attack in the first quarter Carlton adjusted their press to effectively close down Geelong's run. That's what I'm really loving about this new Carlton, you can see the improvement quarter-by-quarter and game-by-game.

Remember the days when Carlton teams used to turn up with one game plan and it either worked, or it didn't.

Sorry to intrude, but wanted to stop by and congratulate you on a fantastic win. You guys are playing some inspired footy at the moment. Great to watch. Good luck for the rest of the season!

Just got home from the game after stopping off for a few errrr many frothies, and my oh my what a win, i thought Gibbs was really good today, and i don't say that lightly either, that was as close as a complete rounded game I've seen him produce in the navy blue, was hard at the contest, yes you heard me correctly, and distructive on the outside to set up many forward thrusts and scores, as well as hitting the scoreboard himself, was BOG for mine, Doc has to be a lock for a HBF in the AA side currently, and big Krooz was awesome all day, with a couple of very winnable games in the next two weeks, i just hope we dont drop the ball, i cant see that happening though, Bolts wont allow it, congratulations Carlton on a gutsy awe inspiring win

Just watched Bolt's presser. It is amazing how little he gives away each time. How long before the media, or some big ego's in it, turn on him?!!!

He will just infuriate them further.

Oooooh yeah, <grin>, he was good wasn't he? Gee whiz <smile>...that's what's it's all about <nod and grin>...it's a journey <massive grin>, and we're just trying to get comfortable <another smile> being uncomfortable.

Geelong struck off the list...Hawthorn next...

(I wish...)

Man, that chase was just inspirational. The guy had surgery 10 days ago.

Krooze doesn't chase. He reverses the rotation of the earth so the runner, despite appearing to move forward, actually moves backwards towards him.

Yep that's what I've noticed most about this season. We seem to be far less reliant on the same core group of players. The load is a lot more evenly spread.

Looking at our defence, thought Plowman played really well, as did White. In previous years far too much would be left to Jamison and Simpson. Great to see young players step up and play a role for the team. I hope others get the opportunity because the ones that have been given a go, like Plowman, Kerridge etc have stepped up.

Great viewing this...so nice to see a tough, unsociable Carlton, rather than the rather soft team we have been over the last decade.

http://www.afl.com.au/video/2016-05-29/blues-blitz-cats-with-manic-pressure

something i've picked up on this year, which plays out well in this video at 2:28 - we put pressure on the ball carrier after they've disposed of it. not enough to give away a free, but bump them, push them and basically make contact in some way. in that video, the easy handball doesn't go from smedts to motlop because he's being 'minded' by tuohy.

I booed so much I felt light headed and almost hyperventilated!

I led the booing choir of my block of seats at Etihad, was a great crowd performance.

Get on Gibbs for the Brownlow I reckon he's been close to best on in all our wins and lets finally stop throwing him up as a trade option FFS!

Simon Whites last 8-10 minutes really stood out for me and as a big critique of his I was very happy for him.

GO BLUES!
