Not going to mention a name mate. Kept it non-personalised. This person however has been criticized by many this week for overly aggressively shutting down other opinions. AND they were so clairvoyant that they picked Bolts to lead us to 9 wins only 3 or 4 weeks ago

If 4b2 can forgive so can you.

Bluegum clearly. Foul temper.

You reckon? I'm going to sound misogynist here again, but the ladies on this board have really stepped up and forcing their views with a lot more assurance, depth, clarity and gravity than seemed to be the case not so long ago.

The guys..........not so much :) Seem to be too many ego wars at play right now. Shame.

48th today so I cleared out the kids for some peace to watch the game.

At 40-3 and the possibility of a birthday ruined, I acknowledged I may be the problem so I got up, sacrificed my own game, and took my jinx with me and the kids for ice cream....got back and we were 56-47 in front....so I went out again as obviously my jinx sacrifice was being rewarded....came back and we'd won!!!

Nice present boys after a long and depressing week....hope we win the replay!!
Happy birthday mate, hope you get to watch the replay it was a cracker game!

If i went after every poster who had a go at me when I pointed out that Bolton wasn't up to it earlier in the year I would be picking fights with half the board. You've got to let it go.

No, it was a joke. Bluegum is great.

Terrific team effort, everyone played a part.

Haven’t seen too many better individual games than Cripps though, his work with Walsh was top shelf, Ed & Gibbons (his 3rd quarter was outstanding) more than capable in the middle.

JW has to be in AA consideration with yet another blinder as KPD.

Coach gets a big tick.

Well done.

The boys found something.
We controlled 75 percent of the game.
1st 15 mins we could have put them away and then they got an easy one. Then a couple of soft ones and it seemed likely that this new coach couldnt help this group either.
Weiters and Marchbank kept us in it just.
At 6 goals to none. Something happened and they started to play agressive and risky.
Ed started showing the way.
Cripps dropped back to play 2nd in at the ballups and it worked a treat.
Gibbons and Cunners and Fish ran them ragged at every contest.
Charlie remembered what he is.
The team got a sniff. The skipper took the team with him and then everyone was in on the running game and it was like a premiership 3rd quarter.
Playing through the middle, pressuring them with the ball. Forcing mistakes.
It was error riddled but exciting movement of the ball.
Oh yeah we can beat teams if these kids believe.
I dont want to hear green shoots ever again from now on. These guys can play.

The Lions barely scored after partway through the second quarter, we surely did dominate them.

And really the only reason they scored so heavily early was our mistakes...once we cleaned that up they had nothing.

Great to see us deliver on what Teague had been saying all week...saw the skills of the players on show today.
Was so refreshing to see us being an attacking threat and dictating to the opposition, putting them under serious pressure instead of making it easy for them.

You were quick to deliver this message in the match thread:

You went too early with it because you didn't expect us to come back. Reason being, Bolts never turned a sh*t performance around like we saw today.

It's not solely on the coach, but he had to be held accountable. The club knew this. He was given so much time to show that things were on the way up and he just didn't deliver. Blame the players all you want, ultimately it is on the coach to get the best out of the players.

Didn't go early, never mentioned a result, like so many others suggesting we would get pumped, just stated the facts, that it was a poor first quarter

When this team is ready, it will find its consistency, no matter who the coach is

Hodge plays in another losing team v Blues. More to come I hope.

What a pity the media’s “Lions are roaring past the Blues” rebuild narrative has been severely disrupted.

Lions have been giving me the complete shites the past few years beating us in the most embarrassing of ways, I hope they enjoyed their comeuppance today.
They are still well ahead of us rebuild wise. I enjoy watching them play - they have lots of good players to watch and play a good brand of football.

I reckon the games 'changed' after Zorko came off second best when he went into Walsh who took the mark anyway. Made a big difference when Cripps/McGovern and Charlie converted set shots. We could continue to win games if Dow/SPS/Setterfield and Jack actually kicked a goal from relatively easy positions too.

thought teh tackling efforts today was AFL good side quity as well - big tick.

As you might have learned...contributing to this thread may not always involve even moderate levels of mental stimulation or feedback in a proactive way pertaining especially to the CFC
Save if for real life.....

Must we really call out our own supporters?
There were stretchs of the game of the game where I'm sure that we were all concerned - I know I was.
We know Arrows perspective, if anything, I respect him more for sticking by his views rather than flipping the script just because we've got a win.
