I had a 'Final Destination' style dream last night.
It started with the siren going off, and Hayden Ballantyne going up to Glassy and giving him a cheap punch to the backside. The sharp edge of Glass cut the Hobbit deep, and he fell to the ground, bleeding everywhere. This started a sort of melee, with McPhee having a right go at Smith, until Lynch walked up behind him and ate him whole. Hill, trying to avoid all contact, ran straight into the Fyfe the Knife, impaling himself and falling to the ground screaming. Pavlich broke the fight up, but while leading his charges away he sneezed, sending him flying out of the ground and into the Swan River. Believeing swimming is below a god like himself, he drowned. Now without their fearless leader, the headless chickens ran around helpless, and Shuey and his fearless midfield mates took the fools out, reminiscent of the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park 2 in the long grass.
Then I woke up, premonition over. I smiled.
Best dream ever.

Looking forward to the game as it should be a good contest but on the other hand I'm not looking forward to putting up with all of the purple brigade.

i had a dream-resulting from a bad sleep...
i dreamt we got whacked from the outset..ambushed..a completely different freo to what was expected...they bushwhacked us and hammered us physically,relentless turnovers and stuffups under pressure..their onballers scored fast and often,while choking us at the other end..cox is injured,glass is injured,lynch is reported,NN is reported..we have yellowgate infringements,waterboy infringements,runners reported and costing us 2 goals..a rabid dog runs onto the oval and bites waters on his sore elbow..it rains and rains,the umpiring goes with freo all day..woosha chokes on a ballpoint cap,and gets rushed to hospital..the crowd is merciless,and the eagles get thumped by 10 goals!!
well..i figured if we prepared for the worst case scenario,things could only look better as the day progressed..??
and we are in with a fighting chance ...right!?

I'm not going today, but in all honesty I prefer going to Freo home derbies because their crowd gets into it a lot more than all our old fogeys do.
I've always had friendly banter with the purple mob I've sat around, and it's all been in good spirit, with hand shaking and subtle nods after the game.

McGinnity the sub. Why!
No change to either team, which is good because I was worried about Naitanui and I was concerned that Palmer would come in (the Palmer thing was more from a spectacle point of view).
McGinnity as sub is interesting. I look forward to seeing how that plays out.

McGinnity is a strange choice as sub.
Personally I think he's a horrible choice for the sub.
Surely the role he's needed in for this game is to keep Ballantyne quiet, he's not versatile and won't be able to come on and have an immediate impact if we're down.
