Great great win last week and with the exception of the 3rd 1/4, pretty much everything worked.

Wont be like that all the time but it was damn nice to watch.

Saints belted by Crows so they will be looking to avenge that performance.

We play Marvel ok in general but have been gettable by quick forward running ball movement teams - and we allow Minchington types to become Chapman like.

Prob no changes this week but that will be open for debate.

Think Jezza has now kicked 650 - fair effort and not done with yet.

We'd want to win this and we can win this - all about effort and pressure and if we bring what we brung last week then we will be all over this one.

Agree

Doesn’t sound like Mannagh and Martin are quite ready in based on CS comment a week or so ago. Looks like maybe around round 3-5 that they will be deemed fit? Especially if the team keeps winning!

Beyond that it is hard to know why you would change it for others who aren’t obvious best 23 (Stanley, Duncan, Ted) unless someone injured or have bad two to three weeks?

Maybe Clark comes in against Saints and MOC or Mullin goes to sub?

I'd be hoping for Mannagh back for the Brisbane game but maybe too ambitious

Would it be fair to say we're a faster lineup this season? For whatever reason, I'm feeling less worried about playing quicker teams on a deck like Marvel.

Given its early days and nobody has hit their stride, I wouldn't be surprised to see some kind of hangover from that slog in the heat last weekend.

Ross Lyon will make it into another floody floody flood flood defensive crapfest.
Just want to watch that though because NWM and Henry got us a bit last time on rebounds out the back into space. According to the 1-3 weeks quoted on the injury list Henry could be back this week. Along with Butler, King, and Owens

Someone posted earlier the ins and outs from the preliminary and definitely we bought speed (and youth in).

Think about taking out Stanley (for SDK), Bruhn (for Smith), Kolo (for COS), Duncan (for Knevitt) just to name a few and can see both foot speed and I think (other than Kolo) upgrade.

I am hoping the boys understand clearly that St Kilda at Marvel has been a bogie for us and giving that game away before going to the Gabba would be a waste. I am backing them to be up for it. We still have a few hungry players looking over shoulder for returns of Kolo, Mannagh and also having Stanley, Duncan, Martin and Ted ready to play if form drops…

I think the Saints are in a bit of strife even before you consider injuries so we should roll them.

That said I feel like we often lose to the Saints at Marvel when they're not travelling great.

Cats by 2 goals in a grinding effort that no one will remember or replay
I was planning on replayjng and remembering it.

We had Saints on toast late last year at Marvel but some how dropped that game

They played unbelievable footy for the second half. Somehow a dour lower end team looked like prime Geelong 07-08 for an hour. They did a similar thing to us in 2022 at Docklands.

Even with their injuries I'll be happy with any win.
