Thanks Keyser, and good on you for sticking it out. Good luck with your up and coming kids and the rest of the year.

Which Eagles were injured? What injury did they suffer?

I honestly thought this would be a close game. Aside from lost personnel, dunno what's happened to the eagles this year.

Hunter with a knee, Hurn with a shin and Cox with that same foot injury.

Good work by the Bullies, absolutely smashed us in every area.

Ah well, we'll be richer for the experience...:(

Yeah, of course. But...the forward line? The back line? The overall skills level? You can't pin that on two topline midfielders going...or can you?

McKinley has been great in the forward line, but he's a bit of a lone ranger at the moment. Lynch is a 2nd rate forward in a very average forward line, which is why he keeps getting a game. Hunter should be in Lynch's position, IMO, but they appear to have lost him to a knee injury.

The drop in skill level can be blamed on losing a few stars, to an extent. Judd, Cousins and Chick were playing for West Coast last year and now they're missing Priddis so the damage is being exposed. The kids are pretty good, Masten is one that clearly has loads of talent and LeCras will keep getting better. Add Hurn to that list and things aren't looking as bad.

Lastly I think they need some confidence in themselves. Even their top players look hesitant and lost out there and that's probably something the coach should work on.

Plus Rich is a West Aussie... Which reduces the risk of betrayal :p

Thanks for that.

Hope Hunter's knee isn't serious - good player.

Does Cox need resting? Why wasn't Seaby playing?

Match ups apparantly, plus we decided to go with a fairly tall team, so a tall needed to go.

And you had Cooney in the ruck, so maybe they thought they shouldn't bother with two rucks:D

Seaby wasn't playing probably more due to match ups than form DR.

McKinley kicked two and looked pretty good again.

Cox should play next week.

Thanks. Due to the fabulous AFL FTA coverage in Sydney, I only have to wait 20 more minutes for the replay.

Was it a good game to watch?
