I believe Wallan may not put a third 18 on the park this year and their appointed thirds coach has walked away.
Thirds coach has left reportedly due to work.Assistant coach has stepped up to coach.Should still field a side however as Wallan also have a 17s its always difficuilt.I believe you are just trying to create rumour and innuendo.I believe you are Kilmore associated and wish the worst for Wallan 18s.I personally hope all clubs field an 18s as its critical for clubs futures.

I don't wish the worst for anyone Barfly. Merely seeking clarification of some information I received. I truly hope Wallan put a thirds team on the park. No ill feeling from this end.

His not Kilmore

Jake Layley most likely gone for the season, which is a major blow. Wallan played better as the game went on. All the new guys made good contributions, especially Keegan Haigh in his first senior game of footy. Nolan kicked 3.

The big worry will probably be depth, but at full strength I think they'll be ok and competitive.

Nolan still goes ok and if his playing as the 3rd forward target will need to be watched. It's not easy being capt/coach, so who is his main assistant on the boundary Mel?

Im told Calder has finalised their list.Could any of you guys (Doona2 or halfull)write a list of those from rdfl clubs as Im always interested in their progress.

I know the Jets are not as strong as Calder, but 6 Melton juniors is a good effort. Will they all play the majority of Jets games, as if so it's great for the future of Melton FC.

PS: Don't individualise each player just a general reply is fine, as let's remember they are only kids.

Also what ever happened to Brian Taylors boy who was once at the cannons. Where's he playing these days?

Cheers
Turbo

Thats a very good representation by the Rdfl halfull and a credit to all involved in the junior program. Some sons of ex Rdfl players it seems in
Bramble ex Wallan
Lever ex Romsey
Middleton ex Melton South
Muir ex Sunbury lions
Always good to see. Also is Barnes the son of David or Matty ex Darley?2 seriously tough and respected players

I'm not sure he'll be captain and he does have some great experience around him to take on that roll to help ease the pressure a bit. Daniel Zanic is the co-coach.

My mail is the 18s is a goer with some of them in line for round 1 selection.

Hey slyone, bring back that night comp mate!!
We did have a meeting about it Turbos,, unfortunately someone decided to put a cricket pitch in the middle of a perfectly good football ground, due to cricket finals it would be conditional for dates. We could do it however it would have to happen around this time & you only have a brief window available. We will look at it for next preseason & send out invitations to see who would be interested in participating. The comp & interest was great back in the day, could you imagine the VFL wanting to get involved these days? I doubt it very much as Highgate would be a more suitable venue. I think we could have a couple of the local BFL, RDFL & EDFL sides participating, it would be interesting to see it evolve.

Had a look at Lancefield today.
Very scrappy game early standard lifted after half time.
A much slimmer Cam white looked very good.
have improved their list from last year but top four beyond them imo

Any other reports from practice matches?

Much slimmer cam white?? Must have been watching a different game to me i think. That top looked oainted on and a larger ruck/backman ran rings, yes he had a few marks around the ground fron 50 out but slimmer or fitter. No way.

I don't understand your post you say"a larger ruck/backman ran rings". There was no one bigger on the field infact I think Lancefield had the three biggest blokes on the field.
If Cam hasn't lost at least ten kilos Romsey had someone else playing in the ruck for them last year.

New players who caught my eye.
Wooster number 11, Bell 35. Will add too midfield.
Brock in the ruck/chf did a bit.
Henniman 5. (probably spelt wrong) at fullback got better as game went on.
