Whos the coaching panel this year? Have they made changes after last years disappointment. Most leagues only give coaching panels 2 years then rotate the RDFL have had the same the last 3 years haven't they? Interleague is all about player commitment, they have done a pretty good job getting good buy in in recent years and the bright young players have all committed which is the key to the interleague concept.
Didn't they beat a good league last year?

They beat a league a lot higher last year ???

Last year our opponent pulled out and so did Nepean's opponent so we played them and got up which is great but we will still need to work our way up the rankings.

Matt Power was announced as coach. Not sure who else is involved. Article is here if anyone wants the list:

Rumours floating around centrals that players and supporters aren't happy with Hopkins. Word is hes a very average coach and training standards are woeful

I've heared that he is a great coach but some players are still not happy. Tail is wagging the dog.

Didnt i see a player and him having words half way through the game against macedon, something like "your a F...N S...T coach" as he was removing his jumper on his way to the change rooms.

Think Melton are just a mediocre club and don't like it! Heard he was a good coach too!

Who ever the player was, not a good look or very professional for a senior coach to respond the way he did. Not saying the way the player was either.
Seriously let's get the massage chair and dressing gowns out perhaps the players need a bit more loving Or $$$$
Footy is going to the shit to many whiners and big heads can we go back to the 80/90s please ............

So a young club trying to develop themselves in this league is a "mediocre" club???
I don't think blokes like Sweet who you named would like that considering his father helped start the club which is part of the reason why he's playing here!!!!
Can I ask who you follow???

He responded in a way that he should, you can talk about professionalism all day long but if a player comes off the ground and talks that way to the senior coach he should absolutely be told to take a shower get in his car and go home! For whatever reason in this day and age we seem to be surrounded by 18-24 year olds that know everything about football and if you don't agree with them apparently you are wrong!

100% WOW, especially those clubs that have not had success of playing in finals and are looking for standards to set to ensure they give themselves the best possible chance. This reflects more on the player that the coach to me!

Fitzy is easily one of the best coaches on offer .. we are gifted with great coaches in this competition.. as we have, players.. the Centrals are on the verge of an exciting era and the way they challenged the Cats .. a genuine premiership contender, is a credit to the talent on and off the field .. if they can win games like that, they'll play finals and are far ahead on where they were last year..

Tips for the weekend:

Diggers by 65
Wallan by enough since I'm meeting up with my fellow mod on sat. :)

Not to aware of the situation but some coaches may not be best fit for some clubs, players or culture irrespective of past success at other clubs (look at Mick Malthouse as an example with his sacking at Carlton and many other coaches in the past; local or at higher levels). Maybe the players don't back him, maybe he can't relate to the players or vice versa.
Overall you can't argue that Centrals are in a lot better position than last year and that's a huge positive for a club with minimal success.
I think Sunbury will get the chocolates but you can't argue against that it's going to be a tight contest tomorrow night between the two teams. Also heard that Levi Sands (the man from Sydney) will make his debut tomorrow night for Centrals, another positive for the club!

I know its probably not of great interest to most, but how bad we travelling when we're still yet to get a fair dinkum fixture for the Under 16s comp?
Home today from a week away and was hoping like buggery to be able to (finally) broadcast something to our very patient families but nothing.
Next weekend is still reading "undecided."
