The points decision on the kangas, so who was at fault ? RDFL or Kangas? Harsh penalty for a one sided result surely!
Richmond star ? not many of them around ATM. Watch the top 3 clear out in the next 3 weeks. Diggers, Riddel, Macedon.

It's harsh but it's the precedent the league would be worried about. If you play a player who hasn't been cleared and don't lose points then where does it stop? It's not fair but it's the penalty that has to stand .

Clearance in for Tom Ellard. If he is the one then certainly not a VFL star. Played a sprinkling of development league games. Ex Doutta Stars/Pacco small. Will go ok in this league but wouldn't think he will star. Strong Doutta Stars team he was getting a game in so he will certainly help Sunbury.
I seen Thomas put the clearances in on the 26th, does ot take 4 + days to clear a player? Are Doutta trying to keep him or are the RDFL playing games with the roos? I also seen they are taking action for the 4 points, can anyone tell me how this works? Will be looking forward to watching the Macedon game this weekend, i think their back line will need to work hard.

Is he going there because of friendship with Barnes or wasn't he getting a game with Douttas. I think Douttas might struggle to fit him in with the points as his not a Douttas junior so carries points..

I will retract that last comment as he is a Douttas junior, but did play a few years of junior footy at Pacco as well. However he is 1 point to Douttas.

And some are running extremely close to the limit. This could cause problems if they lose any key 1 pointers to injuries

Is that accurate the points? If so interesting read all we have heard is Broadford recruited macedon recruited, that says this week Broadford on 40 points and macedon 36. Interesting diggers and Riddell at the 43 mark with Centrals on 47 as the top three points teams.

Excellent win for Wallan today. Down by 7 at the last change they came flying home on the back of a stiff breeze to win by 50.

I think clubs will have no choice but to drag someone up from the 2s and 18s.

By the way, are all clubs equal on this points thing or do some have more room than others. Curious?

Visited two RDFL venues today and from conversations it seems some clubs have an extra 4-5 points grace. The confusing thing for me today was how these points are worked out. For arguments sake one thirds kid deemed as a 3 pointer to his new club joined this season - same scenario but in the second case a lad has actually played senior footy at his previous club but joins as a one pointer?

Think we may see some handy types running out at 12 noon at times, just as long as they get their money I'm sure they won't be complaining :D

Seen the end of Diggers v Romsey this afternoon and seen Cameron McCabe was playing the early game. Talking to a Diggers supporter and said they are rotating players thru the reserves to stay under the salary cap and PPL system.

Up to six players rotate through diggers 2s I heard. How long can they keep spending a truckload of cash?
On another note what is happening down at broadford?

Big effort by Centrals yesterday. With a bit of luck could have knocked Macedon off. Will take a scalp this year at some stage.

Bad loss for Broadford considering they drew level at half time looking at the scores. From the games I have seen they are missing Viani and his run as well as the experience of Holland. Smith, Wearne, Picione have all missed games too. Not much you can do when you get that many injuries.

Rupo could easily be 3-0. Close season especially between clubs 1-6.

In fairness they've only got a small population catchment to pull juniors from and why they've applied for 3 extra points.

Ah come on mate seriously.
If the league give them anymore points there will be a riot.
Played in the last 3 grand finals, picked up Morton and Hine and they want more points.
They must have their eyes on another gun.

That was brought up with the RDFL a few years back about the scores still there and other issues .with all the moneys they request off clubs ,that's one small area they can get that right.
And Kilmore not in this league anymore. LOL it will be the same next year

Looked at all the clubs player points on Saturday some very strange no's put next to some players names will the league be looking at any of these ???

Interleague squad just got announced. Anyone got any comments on the selections?
Not a criticism of the current squad, but I think it'd be more appropriate to have the Interleague carnival later in the season so it's an accurate representation of the in form players. A lot can change in a year and picking a side this early means we can only really pick from players who have already made a name for themselves and can't acknowledge guys who have a breakout season.

Whos the coaching panel this year? Have they made changes after last years disappointment. Most leagues only give coaching panels 2 years then rotate the RDFL have had the same the last 3 years haven't they? Interleague is all about player commitment, they have done a pretty good job getting good buy in in recent years and the bright young players have all committed which is the key to the interleague concept.
