You can appeal to have a de-registration revoked in the 16 week rule, and from what I gather that appeal almost always succeeds, especially if your suspensions come from multiple small suspensions. However if you get suspended again, their is no appeal.

A life ban is massive and should only be for major indiscretions such as interfering with a umpire etc perhaps like if you get your 12 points up driving 12 months off you get back say 1/3 points clean two years another 1/3 etc
But if you are suspended you attract double suspension after that
Life suspension that includes being on a footy field even to watch your own child play or to volunteer to help out for life is just to big a punishment in some cases

Does a life ban ever hold up?

I've known guys to get one and then later on has appealed it in order to play or coach etc. Is it used more to teach a lesson or are they just general league/official bullsh!t?

Does anyone know of anyone serving one that has not played in years due to a life ban?

Oh love it, good ta see riddell beating the cats when clearly they have gone hard and paid the likes of waters, sumerfeild and Matty. N absolute massive dollars not too mention the rest of them, whoever is producing the funds down there is getting no bang for buck! Go riddell I say, I remember back a few years ago when they didn't wanna pay me mate after he won a league medal a extra hundred bucks on top of minimum pay- that's karma baby suck on that.
Whoever is running the show down there money wise is under ther the pump when clearly ya not getting bang for buck do ya research when paying big bucks!
Might need a chat with deano who knows the cream of the crop

Waters has been one of the best ruckman in country footy in recent years...would get huge bucks wherever he went and deservedly so compared to many others
 
Pretty good game of footy yesterday. A slow start and then a horrid 5 minute spell just before halftime killed us.

Diggers play very much like Riddell. A couple of quick handballs out of the middle and bang. Pretty good side, but I thought we more than matched them for long periods.

Couldn't be more right mate.. has been the best ruckman in our competition for at least the last month.. he was the best player on the ground for the first 30 or so minutes in the Macedon v Riddell game before his day was ended with a badly dislocated finger.. have loved watching him play this year and wouldn't be surprised if he gains some high votes on Bowen medal night.. although Harrison and Summerfield will pinch a few off him one would expect..

You can appeal once to have the life ban lifted - and generally that is granted - but if you get suspended again - there is no appeal allowed.

Watched woodend v Broadford. If smith is best full back in league why didn't he play there? I think the woodend ff kicked 5. Could have cost Broadford the game.
 
On a serious note I'm told the Federal government are in talks with Broadfords treasurer and football manager to get the country back on its feet.For Broadford to be able to put this list togethor on budget and under the points allocated is an act of genius.Especially if true what I saw posted recently they still have 10 out?

It's called the brexit method :)
There is a lot of local talent and longevity players there
That are happy to play together and it's never true how much you think players are paid
The current broadford list wouldn't be no where near the points or payments of Romsey 2014 ....
Or diggers list they are on less points how do they do it ???

How the hell would you know what the Broadford player payments are.
You have stated on this forum that your not there.
So don't comment on a club your not involved with

See clearance for Daniel fletcher from broadford to Bonnie Doon was denied! Seems broadford happy to let people come into the club but not happy to see someone put clearance in? When did he last play for the club ?

Yes Wallan have plenty of imports and I'm sure are paying $$ but surely Broadfords recruits are of better quality and from better standard thus cost more$$$ and carry more points.Also Wallan certainly ain't got 10 to come in unlike your mob.I don't begrudge Broadfords success just don't sugar coat the junior program.Hell I played for Broadford in 1989 can I go back as a 44 yr old 1 point player?
Looking forward to next week might catch up with Thespycryptic,Keston,mongrel and Skipper?

Hey Bucks
Yeah Bonnie Doon did put in a clearance for Fletch but he asked me to deny it because he didn't think he could play there due to his wife playing netball on Saturday and he would like to possibly fill in for our 2nds when available
I think he may have played possibly one last year from memory but couldn't be 100% sure on that.
