Seriously this my dck is bigger than your dck debate is a joke. I mean who gives a stuff. Surely those who play footy at bfl, rdfl, edfl, ammos or any other league do so more for enjoyment than anything else. A good club with good people and obvisouly a hunger for some success is all that really matters isn't it? I was part of a small club in a low standard of footy that won a flag 15 yrs ago and I reckon we enjoyed it every bit as much as Hawthorn enjoyed their afl flag. It may not have meant anything to anyone else outside our club but us it was everything. Is that not what local footy is supposed to be about?

Top Post ant. :thumbsu:

Yeah agree top post ant22. Seriously this forum should have nothing to do with the bfl or the ex rdfl clubs as they've all been gone for over a decade, the way i see it, if you're not playing afl, vfl, wafl or sanfl then who really cares what standard you want to play

THE ROMSEY COMMUNITY ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT ROMSEY JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB THE :thumbsu:REDBACKS:thumbsu: ARE FINALLY HOME WHERE THEY BELONG AND UP AND ABOUT IN 2009 THE VOTE WENT THROUGH VERY EASILY LAST NIGHT 44 TO 6 SO, THAT MEANS NO MORE ROMSEY/LANCEFEILD RANGERS JUNIORS. Broadford Move Update:

At a special meeting held last night, all RDFL clubs unanimously voted to accept the Broadford Football Netball Club's application to join the RDFL in season 2009.

Big news if true (not that I doubt your source).

Had heard this whisper myself, makes the landscape interesting down at the end of the wood for this year. Imagine they will pick up a few bandwagon jumpers pretty quick, as well as a few that would just want to play under a bloke with his CV.

Puts them right in the mix, even with the retirements/possible leavings that I have heard rumoured from down at the GGO.

Just wondering who are "rumoured" to be leaving that you have heard of CK,
im sure with the signing of cook this should swing them back, back if your in the know, please share.
So who is leaving and/or retiring?????

have all clubs finalised their coaches yet?
who are we waiting for?
any more news on the braodford move???

As posted earlier: The RDFL voted unanimously to accept the Broadford Football Netball Club's application to join the RDFL in season 2009 on Wednesday evening. The next signature is the HDFL signing off on it (which according to Doona, they have indicated they will)...so I'd say it's all go!

BFNC are also in the process of designing a clash strip as well for the move.

I can't wait for the Broadford v Kilmore, Broadford v Wallan games in 2009.

why design a clash strip? why not just re design a new jumper that wont clash with anybody. Wouldn't that save problems in the future.
Port Adelaide had to do it when they entered the AFL. add a third color. Still keep your colors but enhance them with another. maybe a clash strip would not then be necessary

My boys down at the cattery will be annoucing our new coach within the next two weeks, the boy's are starting there pre season in two weeks time .

Talking of coaches, with Gilesy stepping down as umpire advisor, does anybody know if a replacement has been appointed?
With Broadford being voted in, that will will mean 3 more games a week, hopefully more umpires can be recruited to replace the retiring blokes. we have been in a good position the last few years i would hate to see it go backwards.

What's the point of them changing their jumper... Rockbank, Romsey, Riddell and Diggers all clash... Nothing seems to get done about that...

I am sure that Broady have the kangas stripes, we already have the roos in the league, why would they bother having a clash strip they should just start anew and rename the sides moniker

We are working on a clash jumper and hopefully it will go through. We clash with sunbury, macedon, kilmore and now probably broadford. if it does go through, ill post it on the forum. cheers

I know this site is based on rumours and innuendos but I don't like stating names unless I am sure that they have in fact made a final decision. Cook getting the job may sway a few but you never know. The one player that I have heard the strongest rumours about however is the WHFC #1. Heard the little fella might be going back to an old stamping ground.

Can't think of any player from Woodend that has ties to centrals, but I only have a couple of contacts down that end of the wood and maybe BOG can shed some more light, I dare say he knows more about these things than me.

And donegal, have you heard who the front runners are to lead our club into the finals this year, if training has been set the appointment must be almost a formality.
