BDR69,Dennism,IMS,Grubb i noticed the Mongrel hasnt played for a few weeks is he injured or working, i thought he would have loved a crack at Riddell ?

Will be back very soon, has been sore with a break in his hand that happened just before the start of the season. But healing up well and should be back in a couple of weeks.

Tips for Round 7.

Macedon at home to beat Rockbank pretty comfortably by 33pts with Nipper Wright to dominate once again & Jae Wilton to re-invent himself as a goal kicking full forward.

Diggers have finally found a bloke that can kick goals on a consistant basis with Cole Laurie getting amongst em, but this alone wont stop them going down to Woodend by 16 pts in a high scoring “Shoot Out” at Gilbert Gordon Oval tomorrow.

Not even with more of Matt Robbo’s game winning Heroics will it enable Kilmore to get the points over a freshened up Romsey in a tight fought encounter at Kilmore tomorrow, Redbacks by 17 pts.

Which “Sunbury” will turn up to do battle with Centrals tomorrow ? My head says Kangas by 29 pts, but they had better not take this one for granted as Melton are a much tougher proposition at home !

Wallan to discover just what it takes to match it with the yardstick of the competition when they travel to Riddell tomorrow. Even without the talents of their prime mover Timmy Mac’, a late omission due to a chronic bout of distemper, Riddell will prove to be just at another level for the hapless Pies by 66 pts.

does anybody know if melton will be on their home ground, or the bloods ground tomorrow?

all the best on the bloods ground it was a mud pit last week for the bloods...centre of the ground was just mud...so hopefully its better for tomorrow's big game! and riddel would smash the marsh they are struggling big time at the moment! all the best for tomorrow's games:thumbsu:

sorry mate ,macedon f.c is part of the r.d.f.l .and have been since 2002.
macedon football club folded mid 2000.
not the same club as for jacana sorry missed that one:eek:

Maybe not the same club in name but it was the easy way out so they didn't have to pay their huge debt. Funny how the AFL changed the rules not long after that so that only a certain number of players registered with a folded club can be registered with a new club.

nah they didnt play out of their skins, there are some very good players at kilmore and it will still take a few weeks to get the side to full strength mate.
robbo had a dominant 3rd quarter, luke weller was good all day, ben newham and sapiano dangerous early in the game, good team effort all up though was pleasing to watch the fellas from the sidelines after last weeks game. when at full strength the blues will cause a couple of upsets in 2nd half of yr!

Its pretty much the same club i would of thought. Pretty much the same name, play at the same ground, still called the cats, got their old jumpers from the 70s or something like that and i think they would of kept their history, ie. premierships

Also riddell are a very very good unit to state the obvious, from the league we were in last yr, the dvfl, i think they would win the flag in div 2, and be up around the 5-6 in div 1. They are that good.

At their ground.

how was the ground at melton IMS...recovered after last weeks rain? mr wheelahan best on with 3 goals I see he just turns it on doesnt he, superstar with great skills and leadership for the boys down at centrals:thumbsu: jamesy just with a lazy 11...how many is he going to kick this year that is the question!

Their ground wasn't too bad actually.. Centrals were very good yesterday, they use the ball pretty well, both in the two's and seniors, really good at controlling the football.. Wheels is a superstar, no doubt about it.. One of my favorite players in the comp.... :thumbsu:

Matt Nicholls no wonder for the write free press, no one would ever pay the garbage you wrote, this week in the record about Riddell. You wrote that we had underachieved and should be heading for our seventh flag in row. In fact 2002 we won 2-3 games, 2003, we won 3-4 games. That leaves 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 4 grandfinals, 2 flags. Most clubs would take that in 4 years. Another error, you said we had won three 3 flags in that era. You will be writing for the free press for a very long time with that embarrassing crap you wrote on the weekend.

Its not a bad record is it.. If its a Riddell flag this year (Which is to be expected) it will be 3 flags in 5 years.. It would be as good a record as any club anywhere I would have thought.. Hardly underachieving..
