First where is he from ?? and is he any good because i believe he IS going to be a playing coach :thumbsu:

He played with the Redbacks last year. Can play, but was far too overweight last year. I'm afraid Romsey won't be much chop this season unless he can bring at least 5 guns to the club. If they could get the following players to return, they'd quickly be back in contention:

- Luke Carroll
- Dan Carroll
- Braden Stokes
- John Clark
- Tim Cox
- Leon Cox
- Paul Brady
- Mark Strack

Obviously Al Meldrum won't be returning, but Kearney should be focussing on the above list before more imports. The Redbacks struggled off the field last year as well and need these blokes back. Not only can they play footy, but they are also good mates and kepe the club rolling socially.

I know this site is based on rumours and innuendos but I don't like stating names unless I am sure that they have in fact made a final decision. Cook getting the job may sway a few but you never know. The one player that I have heard the strongest rumours about however is the WHFC #1. Heard the little fella might be going back to an old stamping ground.

Can't think of any player from Woodend that has ties to centrals, but I only have a couple of contacts down that end of the wood and maybe BOG can shed some more light, I dare say he knows more about these things than me.

And donegal, have you heard who the front runners are to lead our club into the finals this year, if training has been set the appointment must be almost a formality.

Hey ck, which old stomping ground am i "rumoured" to be returning too?
im sure il b playing in the hawks jumper next year!!!
maybe u know something i dont??

As for the melton connection no idea, theres only a handful of us in the city that are at woodend, as im not to sure anyone who lives in woodend would travell that far to train n play, but i have been wrong once before, i guess we'l just that to see if its a rumour or true,

whats happening down at the cattery donegal, u seem to have your finger on the pulse, whens its not occupying your rectum, any news to report???

reckon they will lose a few more yet too.. players not happy with comitee over the past few years ive heard. maybe time to go back to the old school fashon and get the blokes coaching who made a impact a few years back when the 1s & 2s where very good and the U18s of a couple of years ago. get them coaches back/get some handy players back i reckon.. Darren Lingard(sen)Allan Lever(res)Nick dyer(18s) i think thats how it was anyway but players appeared to play for them guys!!!!!!

hay earthworm there is a new commitee and 11 new faces on it as for players, the commitee has done a great job so far they have talked to a number of players from last season and all players are over the moon with Adams appointent and are all playing next year we will be more professional this year with some good tricks up our sleeve, also Luke Baker appointed reserve coach great get that one, and also won of our favourite sons Big H Holloywood to coach our under 18, great with the kids ive seen frist hand so to all the knockers i think 3 very good people to take our club back up the top where we belong............ LOVE THE CLUB........ LOVE THE JUMPER GO REDBACKS .....SENOIRS AND JUNOIRS ALL AS ONE

good to hear.. what did happen to those coaches i asked about though surely they would be involved in footy somewhere, all had success at what the did????

Darren Lingard co-coached Romsey's seniors with Dippa this year, Big Al coached an Under 14 team to the grand final, only to choke (just kiddin big fella :p) and Nic "The Doc" Dyer is concentrating on his very successful harness racing driving career at the moment. Although we may see him pull the boots on for Mount Pleasant in the HDFL this year.

Yes they are involved, Dippa is the heart & Soul of the Redbacks he will always be involved one way or another and has been for many years and will be IMO for a long time to come and that is the same for Sparra.
Mark DiPietro (Dippa) & Darren Lingard (Sparra) are on the commitee along with 11 new & exciting members that have alot to offer next year. The club is moving forward with all off this and looking forward to having a more successfull year in 2009.

Any news on the coaching job down at the cattery?

Ive been out the loop for a while but nothing being said.

I have heard Macedon is trialing a radical new Pre-season fitness program involving “Injecting” some players, in an effort to strengthen & bulk them up; Apparently it went horribly wrong when 2 players were accidently injected with curry powder……….. One now has a Dodgy Tikka & the other is in a Korma !

Will someone please give this guy a job? He might not be the best plumber in the area, but he makes up for it by his sharp sense of humour

I had also heard that the Romsey Police had recently found a Bomb outside the Visitors change rooms there………..………… Thankfully they were able to push it inside !

Petran signed with Sunbury earlier this week, making it five confirmed signings from Riddell.

James Climas, James Petran, Lee James, Peter Robertson and Aaron Blade.
