Re: R.d.f.l Thread 2008

No offence was intended, Romsey played a practice match against Broadford this year and we got rolled, so I'm not suggesting that we're better than any other side in the Heathcote league or that the RDFL is a better league, I am merely saying that if the younger guys wanted to play a better brand of footy then I would've thought leagues like the EDFL or the Ballarat league would be a better choice. If the boys are going to step up, they might as well step right up.

P.S. You never know, after 2008 I may be able to post my thoughts on the difference between the leagues;)

you and doc can drive up there together mate:D

Re: R.d.f.l Thread 2008

Spence the Great Man has decided to no longer make himself available through BigFooty, so ya better of contacting him i would reckon!

what he has wiped us :( if its that bad dean come to broady with the others who are apparently coming over :D

Re: R.d.f.l Thread 2008

Don't comment if you don't know the full story on this one. I'm led to believe Dean has left for a very good reason, not football related.

I know the names Romsey have for the coaching job and I must say, they aren't of great quality. With plenty of discussion of players leaving the Redbacks, they'd want their new coach to act quickly and retain some of this year's young stars.

You think you know everything!!!!!

Re: R.d.f.l Thread 2008

The Romsey Football Club has appointed a coach for season 08

Mark DiPietro and Darren Lingard.

Personally I would like to wish both guys all the best for the 08 season.

Very interesting, thanks Matt.
It was a fairly low possession game, with Woodend perhaps being a bit more direct. That seemed to help them with the breeze in the final term. Interesting to see the likes of Manser and Hannett, who have quite penetrating kicks, getting a lot of the ball. The tackle count would also be interesting, from my recollection Podbury and others were very good in that regard.
The greater number of handballs from Riddell seems to reflect how creative they are. With another good long target in James coming back on board next year you would imagine they will be hard to topple.
Have also heard that Nick Holland will be pulling on the boots for Woodend next year. Any truth to that rumour, Woody07, Rodriguez, anyone?
