Yeah its true.. Everyone at Sunbury Kangaroos hates me.. They get on all the time to tell everyone that I have nothing to do with the club..

Oh well, guess I will have to deal with it...

Ps.. It is really cute how you two call each other when you want to start a beat up on a thread.. Kudos..

Your embarrassing yourself now IMS. And an umpire trying to assult a spectator is not a beat up.

Be carefull kings army/perspicuous 1 , you should know by now that if you have a difference of opinion with ims he will delete your posts and deal you a red card !
So now your using perspicuous to back up your other alias kings army, sad sad times, was just discussing this with another person who's life is dictated by big footy.
You and he have a lot in common your both bigfooty puppets !

Spurt, very well said. Big footy is a blog/forum in which we can discuss our opinions and thoughts on FOOTBALL related topics that happen in and around our leagues/towns etc. Kings Army uses big footy as something to hide behind while he dishes out idle threats and baits everyone to get a rise out of them, which he has succesfully done again this time. Please go back to the Balfl thread KA and waffle on about how you are "IN" with the coach and all that has to do with Sunba Lions, and leave us to our passionate thoughts and love of our local game.

wait for the reply from kings/perspicuous sprechen it will be special, he will claim that he knows a great deal about the rdfl , doubt he would have been to a rdfl game in the last 5 yrs ?

anyway onto another subject, despite some strong recruting from other sides this year you can just about lock in that riddell will win the flag this year, they are just cruising along atm and im led to believe they have a few out as well with injuries.
they are a class above this year and anyone who comes up against them will need to play out of their skins to take home the points

I was at the Romsey V Riddell game last round and the thing that stood out the most to me was the depth of talent they have, meaning, most sides are either strong in the middle, back or up forward while the bombers seem to have pretty much all of their bases covered. Woodend/Hesket on the other hand are facing a make or break game this week. Although they have got a few out with injury there seems to be a huge difference between their best and their worst. Jesse Waters was talked up as a massive pick up pre-season, but to be brutally honest he has failed to make an impact, if at all. The likes of L. Barker, J.Sheppard, J.Goodyear, S.Bowen and Matty Bourke have played out of their skins and players that have made the step up like Benny Glasson, Toman and nipper Stembridge all make watching the hawks all the more pleasurable, but they need more blokes to put their hand up and exert the "pride of the jumper" type of footy that the hawks are known for. I still have faith in Cooky to bring out the best in the boys but as I said, this week is make or break.....big style.

wouldnt say talked up as a massive recruit mate, was said to be a handy recruit along with loges aswell, both of which have shown glimpses but i think are still getting used to the style of footy played in the rdfl, correct about shep and joely been playing well, shep could miss this week with revolveristis, loves his sundays the boy
Yes well that may be a bit harsh on JWaters, a new team can be difficult to mould with but loges is too huge for me to criticise, remindes me of Goldberg except fitter!. And yes shepp does love his sundays as does our resident Johnny Knoxville, J Hepburn!

You are so right KA.. I have embarrassed myself terribly..

It is clearly not a beat up that you started your post with "Another showing of poor form from Woodend on the weekend".. That's not a beat up or a troll at all :eek:

But anyways.. On to other things before you find another log in to sign in and support yourself with... Can anyone say "credibility"???

Interesting discussion taking place on the WRFL thread about the league wanting to implement a 3rd and maybe even 4th division. The talk of teams to join the league surround Rockbank, Melton Centrals, Diggers Rest and Melton South - apparently all 4 of these clubs has sought out the WRFL about a possible switch.. I would have thought this to be highly unlikely, especially from the RDFL clubs named as they would be heading to a league that is for all intensive purposes heading backward and leaving a competition that is going forward in leaps and bounds. I would also think that if Melton South wanted to leave the Bal FL (Which I would suggest would be very unlikely) then they would look to return to the RDFL before heading to the WRFL. There is also suggestions that the WRFL and RDFL will merge and become the one competition. What is everyone's thoughts on these comments, as well as the swipe taken at the new GM John Batty (who I think has started off well in his short time as GM). Are there anyone close to the top in any of these clubs that would care to comment?? (George08)???

Wallan clearly made a mistake leaving the RDFL and if any other team from the RDFL was to leave to join the WRFL, i think they would regret it, your right show, the RDFL is improving at a rapid pace, we all enjoy a beer after the game and there is a healthy rivalry between clubs, the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. if you were to look at most leagues, i think you will find that ours is very even, we dont have power clubs paying $300k like the EDFL and the like. However Broadford may differ, i will leave that up to Doona to respond. Show you stated that John Batty has started off well in the short time he has been with us, can you elaberate please.

I think that John hasn't come in all guns blazing trying to put his own stamp on everything, he has come in with a level head and is trying to gauge exactly where everything is at, hopefully he will look to continue the growth of the league from the plans that have already been established, whether that be with steady improvement of those plans or whatever the thoughts may be. But it would be easy to come in and make big statements and big changes to put your stamp on the league, sometimes resulting in moves that could be considered big issues and be damaging to the brand. I think he has started with a level head and given himself the opportunity to develop the brand using the blocks in place. That can only be a positive for the competition.. Others may beg to differ, and hey, it only takes a couple of instances for that to change quickly, I was just commenting on the comments made on the WRFL thread that Batty has already put RDFL clubs noses out of joint.

Fair comment show, thought i may have missed something John had intoduced to the league.

My thoughts are irrelevant now, what's done is done, I just hope for the future of a 120 year old club that all those that pushed and/or influenced the switch to the RDFL stand up and be counted in the not too distant future.

Melton Centrals have not spoken to the WRFL and won't be making the switch to any other league. The RDFL has a great model for any league to follow . The league is improving every year and the football is very competitive. I've come from the ballarat league and can say it is dying a slow death around my way. There is no feeling no rivalry's and who wants to travel up to that sh*t hole Ballarat every second week.

On to RDFL news Cameron.Dawson from Romsey got 4 weeks for kicking last night . Dawson has a lot of ability but needs to pull his head in and cut out the stupid sh*t.

I know you were not happy about one thing in particular big fella, has anyone approached John to see if all is above board?

Have seen Dawso play quite a few times, havnt seen too much of the so called stupid sh*t you speak of. No need to pull his head in, would have been an isolated incident I would think.

Was talking to someone earlier today about the points in this article and thought to myself, isn't it so refreshing that in this year of football in the RDFL, we have so many coaches that are open and available to comment in many different forums. The open feedback that these guys provide on their teams performance, on the opposition performance and the game how they saw it in general has just been outstanding, they are giving the fans of our game an honest insight into the competition and the regular sporting fans that pick up our local papers and read about what is happening around the league must feel so well informed and confident about heading to games and understanding what has been happening. Dean Helmers (SK), Mark Pederson (Wallan) and Paul Sproule (MC) are showing the way in how to promote and advertise their own clubs as well as the league, it should be commended, applauded and celebrated and I hope that we see much more of it from within our competition..

Ps. Cameron Dawson is one of the most talented and exciting players in the RDFL, obviously he committed a silly on field act last week, but hopefully he has learned from it and will return after he has served his suspension and continue to entertain the Romsey and RDFL faithful....

Whole heartedly agree with you on this point pal.... & You can add Lee Spry to that list as well. :thumbsu:

Not that I'm aware of, perhaps the club just got a reduced bill for 2010  Still can't believe the drums have stopped beating - or perhaps all the questions surrounding 2009 been answered and we've moved on?
