I went down to watch the sunbury roo's play their intra club last nite, a few new faces round the club including 2 talls who dominated play across the board and a young rover looking player, one of the talls looked to be sporting an old benalla saints jumper and the rover was wearing a now no existant cgfl interleague jumper, does ne one no who these new blokes are and are they playing there?

You'd know more than us Zippa who were those Benalla blokes you went and watched? If they played at All Blacks they'd get a kick with the Kanga's no worries.

Really, a slam at the RDFL when the convo you were having was and is about a coach in another league.. Take your rubbish the the Bendigo board.

I'll write where I want Junior!

And good luck with that... Pity you continue to show yr lack of intelligence with every post you make.. But obviously that is where you like to be within yourself. So hope you enjoy it..

Anyways, where did the Sam Young rumour develop, from what I hear he hasn't been around the Kangaroos. Have to have a chat to a few down there to find out if he has been.
Believe the Roos are in the Keilor night comp and have drawn Woodend next Wednesday, anyone from the Hawks know what the feeling is around the Hawks about having to play against the Roos, I know a few at the Roos were looking for a different challenge to playing against a club from thier own league.

Being from shepp i thought i would recognise them but the guy with the cgfl jumper on i definately didnt no, i had seen the young fella with the saints jumper before, im not to sure where ive seen him, im sure he played against me a couple of years ago but he must of only been 16 or 17 not an all blacks boy but i no alot of the blackas boys, he chopped up so did one of his mates in a wife beater, they will go a long way in pushing the roos into the finals, back 2 the other bloke who would he of played for if he had a saints jumper and played in the cg? vt or dookie maybe?

Read in the local paper today that Kilmore are still chasing players & sadly they again cant field an under 18's side.

Rowe, Goudge, Medola and ACK youngsters Hede, McIntyre and Mills are reported as having good pre-seasons, but I guess the early talk of Wittmer and the Stewart boys has now passed.

watched the rockbank game tonite and didnt know what was going on....

they need didnt have a game plan, no set targets on the field, no leaders on the ground and players yelling at each other. they need to kick long and straight every time and find a target each time espically in the forward line

Yeah I watched Rockbank last night. There fitness seemed to be good but the decision making at times was deadset awful ! Also they were very young compared to Albanvale who has 80 % + mature bodies. Need to establish a game style which suits their playing group.

woodend are playing west coburg tonight at 6.30 in the keilor night comp it will be our first chance to get a look at them and the quality of their recruits

is true about no under 18 side quite dissapoiting... Rowe is lookin alot fitter than usual. goudge not in his best shape frequent visits 2 the pub with duffy have affected him! mills hasnt had a good pre season he has osteitis pubis. mcintyre has trained twice but looks in peak condition. hede has trained nearly every night but still struggling with fitness due 2 frequent pub visits wif duffy n goudge. wittmar n strainey played in a practice match on saturday. appears that wittmar is going over seas... not sure bout strainey.. most important thing is that robbo is back n is playing!

If we're hanging our hats on Robbo and think it's still funny to do the Friday night drinking thing and joke about it Saturdays then I guess it's another long year ahead for the Blues. It's one thing to say we're 100% behind coach Terry Ahearn, but to actually give 100% is another.

Let's hope some players r prepared to take the commitment to their footy - because when blokes put their hand to give 100% to their job like Terry & Jamie have, they deserve it back. Im lead 2 believe things are on the up and look forward to getting along to Clancy Reserve for a look early in 2006.

Not 100% sure about this Blues wasn't at the game but a source told me this morning that Woodend was beaten comprehensively but were missing 8 or 9 senior players. Apparantly they wont be playing their best sides for this comp. Can anyone who watched the game confirm this. How did West Coburg go last year and what were they like last night? Great to hear Sun. Kang. do well last night, did they field a full strength side Blues 12. How do Keilor park rate in the A division? I'll try and find out some more info in the next couple of days. Does anyone want to give wrap-up of both games if they were present?

The Roos played a great game of footy.. Were able to keep constant pressure on their opposition, and most importantly keep up with the pace of the game. Good team effort and some good signs, were missing a couple of key players and lost a couple early through injury. But did rotate alot with 10 players on the bench, were able to keep up a balanced side, even with the changes.

Woodend were a little disappointing, but then again, it is only an early practice match.

Woodend were beaten by 14 goals in the end and west coburg had 6 key position players missing, rotated the bench after quater time and there main ball winners spent the end half on the pine. As for woodend having nine players, there players didnt seem to know anything about it.

I think what EDFL is trying to say is Woodend might have had nine senior players out but the players they had on the park had no idea.

Yeah sorry about that, thats corrected Toadfooty. They looked slow and fat(pardon the punch) and just couldnt keep up with the pace of the game. Sunbury would beat them easy.

Did anyone stand out for Woodend?
