Half time
Macedon 11-5
Ruppo 4-3
WTF?

Without Chambers as the general Please don’t say Rupo dropped one behind the ball early?
If so it woulda played into Macedons hands, free up a Dick or a Burgess and she transitions out pretty quick if they’re in front of Todd with say a Barnett defending from behind.

Can’t rely on one player not good enough said it before you got to spend in this company to win a flag full stop

So true but many have tried and failed to buy one, and some have even won them whilst falling shy of the agreed financial commitment.... be it to players, coaches or the league

Best 3 remain .... game on now with Macedon taking til finals to roll out their best team, or maybe it’s been smart business sense in not wasting dough thru the year when they didn’t need to?

I m beginning to think it’s the latter doona , a lot of players rested( managed) through out the year and now looking like they are perfectly timing the run into the grand final.
They have put away with great ease two sides who have had fantastic years, the sleeping giant is awake !

Maybe yeh.
I watched them hold off a brave Wallan mid year all whilst missing 7 names I could identify let alone the heads I don’t know

No spare played today, soundly beaten without Chambers, Muir, Grigg, McCrorie but not sure they woulda made the difference.Macedon were pretty damn slick and will win it if Diggers n Riddell let em do what they did today.

On Rupertswood season, is this year deemed a failure? And where too now?

They made some significant changes in the off season pressuring Fitzgerald into a decision, terminated him as coach after taking them to a grand final and come up short at the line and now Ash has come up short 2 weeks earlier? Wellington, Barnard, Murphy & Grigg excercise hasn’t been the combination they needed?

They now find themselves finishing 4th and another straight sets exit. Where does this leave them in the context of 2019? Obviously got an abundance of kids with good junior talents who just can’t transition into elite senior footballers.

Dave, ur correct, can't rely on just one player, Their reserves are still in it and 19's also so I guess they'll be there abouts again next year. Most 1's players are signed so Rupo are on the front foot, not all doom n gloom but they'll be sorry I lost a pineapple on them. Ha ha ha

Yeah the year is a failure like last year and the year before, but all teams except 1 will say the same. The recruits have been alright, do they have to win a flag to validate their addition to Rupo? Not sure. Murphy will be pretty high in Bowen I'd expect, Barnard rucked pretty well with no Putt for many games. But a failure yes.

Well that’s got to hurt even more with Murphy travelling next year and as a 1 pointer someone of his value is a huge loss to add further concerns.

Anyone know who Rupo Twos are playing next week, big noise around the ground today about Diggers going straight in after Wallan played coach Nolan? Do Rupo play Wallan next week or Diggers in the GF, what's the penalty?

For me none, pretty sure Nugget had played 4-5 games for Wallan 3rd XVIII which surely has been recognised.

It was a Goldfields/RDFL comp for those who had an overflow, should the club be punished for that?

No problems with Nolan playing.

Played 6 games for the year.

4 in the club 18 comp and 2 in the reserves.

Going by league rules he qualifies so not sure what all the noise is about.

Just asking, the talk was there today so nothing sinister, wouldn't matter as I think Rupo have Putt, Egan, McConville n Dremmil back for twos and Sultana and Sutton will return back to the thirds id imagine.

Congrats to the Ewe’s who I see got over Rupo in the A’s :thumbsu:
Great job Rams on the netball today going into the prelim now is great for the poor old Rams.
On a side note my thoughts are with Rupo must be shattered with bombing out again.
I’m happy to be a consultant next year for Rupo and donate half the fees to both the Rams and Kangas.

Understand lots of advice from some Rupo people during the year on how bad Rams are going but really this must have Rupo at breaking point having all that money, juniors and support to go out again like that.

And the umpires mate that didn’t help you in the finals last week.

Maybe a Royal Commision is in order?
