I don’t barrack for Wallan, but have watched them on 5-6 occasions this season. Shaun Stewart always impressed as a very solid and reliable defender. Wallan
defenders were under the pump on GF day due to the frequency and quality of delivery from Riddell on-ballers.
Handy footballer that IIRC was an EDFL TOTY member recently, so can obviously play a bit.

Didn’t help to lose captain Mannix with broken hand 5 mins into 3rd quarter.

Fair reply and I based my comment purely on that GF day. 👍
I didn’t think the quality of delivery was overly great but it was deep and frequent at times. Definitely a lot deeper entries than Wallans.

The RDFNL received notification from AFL Victoria this afternoon that the transfer of leagues
process is complete and Melton South Football Netball Club have now officially joined the RDFNL
for season 2025.
For RDFNL Senior Clubs, please note that this means that the RDFNL will be an 18 round season in
2025 with each Club playing 16 matches (eight home and eight away with two byes). The Salary Cap
will be $100,000.00 for the 16 matches with a top 6 Finals Series for all Senior Football and Netball
Competitions in 2025.

Money being thrown around at the mighty panthers, Marlon Pickett already signed with 3-4 ex afl players committing full time
Name all these 3-4 ex AFL players or just spreading more rumours. I’ve heard one name but also heard a few ex players and retired players returning as it’s sparked some interest the move.

you lot don’t worry about us, some massive announcements to come. 3-4 ex afl will be at the den atleast we had 6 play this year

Hearing we are getting Thornton gielen bros back from centrals and will probably get a few of there better players jumping ship too

No rivalry with centrals we want whoever won the comp or thinks they are top dog

Your 6 AFL players did wonders for you this year.

Did the league request that South change their home jumper owing to the clash with Centrals ?
No they didn’t but in the RDFL you must have an away strip so that kind of avoids any clash. I think South got an exception year 1 but then must have an away strip.
South had those colours for many years and centrals were the ones to copy the colours when they became a senior club even though that’s irrelevant.

Every club already shaking in its boots
Told you all not to worry about us just make sure you stick around for a beer after a loss at the new home of the rdfnl grand final
Would be an excellent venue for rdfl finals as public transport close and a major shopping strip close for any pre beers, as well as the country club. Great surface also but Romsey surface was also great.

They didn’t have 6 ex AFL in 2024 BFNL either but if they can snag one full time then great advertisement for the league..
Agreed... Good for the league.

Melton has a population of just under 200,000 though. If they need to spend 200k to bring in washed up league players to chase some success it says a fair bit about that club.
