It appears to be a case where a coach, who has been a coach of many teams at his previous club and given great service, has developed a strong relationship with the players and parents of the 15A group this year. Lol. He must be the greatest coach ever for this to occur to him & only him..
Spin it anyway that you like but raiding your former club so aggressively is a shit act.
Hopefully he can actually coach because this sort of thing does burn bridges.

So if players and family enjoy their experience with a particular coach and then choose to follow him to a new club to continue playing that’s a bad thing? Perhaps you’d prefer they stay at their old club, and maybe don’t enjoy their 2025 experience and stop playing altogether?

So was it a bad experience those young kids had at Sunbury Lions?? Ummm I don’t like targeting young kids and I’m sure they will not be giving you a good reference for any future jobs you might go for down the track.

Clearly they had a good experience at the Lions and clearly they put that down to the coach, hence following him to the Giants. Players and parents value good coaches.

I have never had any coaching involvement at the Sunbury Lions so not sure why they would want to catch up with me. It’s another miss for you, you really don’t have any idea what you’re talking about.
If your idea of poor form is being a coach that kids way to play for I genuinely feel sorry for you🤔
 
bit to follow here. no matter how it looks or is sold the adults involved at sunbury as well as the giants can make their own peice with there parts in all this.
grubby look however explained and hopefully doesnt see current giants kids and families brushed aside at the expense of these new clicks who by the sound of it will move as soon as they don’t get the coach they want.

life skills on full display one way or anohter and perhaps some revealing character in people to.

connection to what? no connections only clicks at Calder if you look at coaching groups and there backgrounds and coaching resumes.
guy at work got moved on because he wasn’t female only to obtain a role in another club.
calder not what is once was unless you are somehow tied in around Sydney road or hapy to be involved for a cap and a shirt and fetch balls. more hangers on than the RCH appeal the two times I saw games this year.

Reading bendigo page and there region seems similar with who gets a look in and from which clubs

Blue Choice I have read enough from you to gather you are an egotistical fool.A club is always bigger than any individual.Lions would be happy to lose a $hit person (supposed coach).What happens to the local kids who will get pushed out?Just another reason Local footy struggles.Sadly too many only coach for their own ego and not the betterment of Club.Enjoy the season.

Yep, the local kids & their families built that club. They will be pushed out by a bunch of pinch hitters who have no loyalty to the club what so ever. Mind you, if the Giants hierarchy accepts that, then the culture is rotten there anyway and they'd be best to move on with a life lesson learned

Appreciate the name calling, says more about you as a person than it does about me. The coaching focus at junior level should always be be fun, retention and player development. So many of you on here criticising a coach who has obviously succeeded in ticking these boxes with the players who want to follow him. Anyway you do you and I’ll continue to stick my nose in when I think the banter crosses a line and becomes an unwarranted personal attack. And just to further clarify I have no affiliation with the Giants either.

Ticking boxes then perhaps should include conversation about loyalty to community and never an individual.
That’s the player development bit so many fail at. especially this coach if they needs the support of a parent group at a new big boy club role.
setting young people up to be played like a fiddle all to stroke the pied pipers ego could be labelled as many things.
Could thecoach still hoped for input at previous club on a sunday got told no and now has worked the phones.

Got it on good word that some of those kids that are being brought across from Lions Under 15’s and Kangaroos Under 17’s have been offered some good incentives like free rego, club gear, junior game payments and let’s say above average senior game payment opportunities. Not just the usual “Cannons ITK”. Correct in saying that Hall is a legend but has burnt some bridges along the way and taking a dangerous path.


While I am here, I’m led to believe there is a clause in senior contracts that if they’re still winless at the halfway mark (King’s Birthday) players contracts are reduced a decent percentage. Hope the boys that have signed read the fine print or there could be a few on the move around clearance time…

Hopefully the coach also takes a reduced percentage at that time. 😀 Oh hold on maybe if he signs up under 10s -12s he will keep his pay cheque 😂😂

Not off to a good start - other clubs won’t forget this stuff. Won the under 19s flag by cheating and now stealing entire sides - pretty low

Hey Crazy, explain cheating, all the reading on here in the past reads like the RDFL gave the Gisborne Giants exemptions. How did they cheat bro?
