Coral Bay next month. Yeeeewww!!
Lucky bugger, we were there this time last year and had a ball. Thoroughly recommend the off-road buggy tours if you haven't done them previously and the 'Seafood Bonanza' from Fins Cafe. Swimming with the whale sharks was obviously ****ing awesome as well.

We thought about heading back again this year but ended booking $300 return flights to Indo in October instead. Does anyone know if Whore Island has a family resort?

Anyone else watch Superstore ?

Just stumbled across it on Netflix, wasn't expecting much but its actually pretty decent. Good one for those that have had the pleasure of working in retail.

Half the last season to go.

I don't mind it as background watching but wouldn't be watching it again as I have done for Parks + Rec and B99.

Interesting show in that the main characters are purely to push forward the plot and have very little to like unlike Leslie Knope and to a lesser extent the main guy from B99.

Not sure if you're categorising Peralta as likable or unlikable.

Superstore is a fun watch but not ground breaking comedy. I always appreciate comedies without laugh tracks, though - they often have to be more well crafted and smarter to get laughs.

B99>Parks and Rec>Superstore imo

With the rapidly rising cost of living and equally rising cost of interest rates i just wanted to have a rant.

I do recall year 11 economics is that the way to control inflation and slow the economy is to raise interest rates....and implement the reverse to stimulate spending.

The ideal inflation rate is 2-3% whereas its currently 6%?

But good work govt, take more cash of those with a mortgage when other costs like petrol, groceries, healthcare, insurances etc are increasing at a rapid rate.

These issues are caused by extenal (hopefully short term) factors, pandemic, supplu chain issues, war and natural events. Hows increasing interest rates going to fix that shit?

Some of us are stuck driving 100km/day for work plus ferrying the children to misc therapies so its pretty hard to cut petrol costs.

The only way we can reduce spending is to limit take aways and work lunches, buy cheaper cuts of meat. Cant even incorporate salads as thats skyrocketing in price also ..khents...

We've dropped disney plus ($12/m) but keeping foxtel ($57/m) but will cut that once the discounted price ends.

We have netflix and stan thru my sisters accounts.

To me the government created this mess with the whole building stimulus. Well who could have forseen rising construction costs and the foreclosure of building companies.........sarcasm

Any time the government introduces rebates....the costs of acquiring said service goes up the same amount as the rebate khents.

Fuel and Grocery rises are brutal. All the old tropes of buy in season, use the cheap cuts are redundant. It's all bloody expensive. I'm sure there are a lot of folks who are going backwards at a frightening rate as there really is a snowball in motion at present.

Nah just stop buying avocado toast thanks campaigners. I bought my three bedroom home on four months of a hairdressers salary in 1954 and interest rates back then were 17%, so put down the latest iPhone and just cut back a bit.

The ironic thing at the moment is that avocado's are just about the cheapest thing you can buy

RE: B99.

I meant more that I could watch an episode entirely driven by the main character without relying on the side characters for gags. Can't do that with Superstore. I mean, half the laughs of Superstore come from the random cutaways to customers doing dumb shit (which we have all seen if we have worked retail/customer service). Jonah being cringe doesn't really do it for me
