He was playing with his siblings, probably on his front lawn and just ran onto the street suddenly. At a 135km/h there wouldn't have been much time between "there's a car" and "there's a car and my brother is heading towards the road". Which is why the speed limit is 50km/h.

Again, why wasn't he supervised by parents. It's not as though a car travelling at that speed doesn't make a ****load of noise. Particularly on our shit back streets.

Guy for sure definitely deserves to go to jail and for a significant amount of time. I'm just suggesting that a 3 year old should be properly supervised or if you are going to let your 3 year old run around on the front lawn WTF isn't there a fence with a gate.

The judge spent five hours summarizing the case and his findings but I’m sure it was pretty much that sentence, yeah.

Am I not able to summarize his findings? Maybe there's stuff in there that I'm unaware of? Happy to discuss if the gist of my perception is incorrect (and it may well be).

Not really keen to argue over shit that doesn't matter.
 
Parents have lapses of judgment all the time, it is just not possible to supervise all your children 24/7 - unfortunately, these parents have paid the ultimate price for it. I'd rather we focus on why the driver was doing 130 in a 50 zone than engage in victim blaming.

Try the thread in the Crimes board about it, they go into it in far better detail than I am capable of, but in essence there is no conclusion that can be made other than Lynette Dawson being murdered by the husband Chris Dawson and there is no reasonable doubt that could explain otherwise. His pattern of lying about contact with Lynette after she disappeared definitely assisted in his conviction.

It's a bit rich of you to summarise five hours worth of findings, after a nine-week trial, in one sentence and conclude that the judge got it wrong.

He would've spent his adult life working in law as a barrister and a judge, he's sat through nine weeks of evidence, and you conclude he's applied the wrong standard of proof based on ... your superior in-depth knowledge of the case and the law? You didn't even know it wasn't a jury trial. I'm not sure you're in a position to say he got it wrong.

But that never stops you, so you do you.

And as a parent and grandparent i'm asking the question. People are right, kids don't need 100% supervision 100% of the time but **** me the kid was 3 and you're letting them play out the front of your house with no gate, no fence and no supervision.

The guy who was speeding deserves whatever he gets but it's still ****ing horrendous parenting.

Scott Scotty Parker is very funny to laugh at but this was cooked. Only thing is he was mainly sacked for having a dig at the board in his post match presser, with the understatement of the century basically saying the transfer deadline is this week and we need more in the squad than we have, please get me some players otherwise we will be relegated.

Wasn’t “strategically aligned” with the club hierarchy so got the sack. Ridiculous shit no matter how you slice it hit hand on heart they’d say they didn’t sack him for the losses.

Yeah, it’s a US based performer who’s releasing an album over there on Saturday with tracks from 17 new artists including my son

Nah. It’s not that big

He played support for someone touring over here a couple of weeks ago but it’s a small niche of the music market he’s operating in
 
Now all he has to do is hope promoters get Underworld and Otherwrld mixed up, and he’ll start getting some sweet gig offers

Music industry must be tougher than ever compared to the complete excess of the second part of last century in terms of money and record companies. But I guess on the other hand it's easier for fledgling acts to get their music out there with the internet.
