Trump will be running for the Republican Party and the more charges get thrown at him the more it’s going to backfire come the next election…

Isn't the outcome that he's not allowed to be the Presidential candidate for that State?

Colorado is a blue State, so it won't actually effect the election result. It is more the possibility of other states following suit.

The initial ruling was just for the primary, but it would be quite easily to extend to the general for sure.

Really depends on what the supreme court (who lean conservative) say on it. They could say
1. That he violated the 14th amendment and is barred nationally from running for President. I can't see this happening.
2. That the Colorado decision was wrong, and Trump did not violate the 14th and is free to run.
3. That the Colorado decision was right, but leave the decision at the state level. In which case I'd expect Blue states to take Trump off the ballot. He'd only be in trouble if a couple of swing states pulled him off the ballot.

I’ve honestly felt like that for four years of Trump’s term and three year’s of Biden’s. Surprised the country hasn’t descended into civil war and/or that one of them hasn’t accidentally (or deliberately) pressed the nuke button.

What a system, hundreds of millions of people in the country and citizens get to choose between those two.
