Is lake Karrinyup still going?
Used to go up there when we were young, had the best cheese cake in the world!

It most certainly is, one of the best country clubs in the state.

Imagine if the yanks that are outraged by a certain person being on a shitty beer showed as much outrage to mass shootings and school shootings

I am horrendous at golf.
When I started my current job last year, I met a bloke who loves it, every break off work he and two of his colleagues will go trot around the state and play golf.

He has a simulator in his shed, so he invited me over to give me a few pointers.
So, up I go to his beautiful house in the Kalamunda hills. In his golf cave.

I proceed to dent the **** out of his shed walls for three hours.
In the end, he looks at me and goes "Mate... you need a pro lesson or 10. Maybe then you'll hit a ball somewhere visible"

I retired that day

My frustration with golf lies in my ability to flush the ball about once in every 10-15 drives. It's such a sweet feeling and I want more.

That's basically what people say - the half a dozen nice shots you hit pre round is what keeps you coming back the next time.

Most interesting course you've ever played?
For me it's gotta be Groot Eylandt, can't remember which hole it was but there's was always a croc near the little inlet.

I played at "St Andrews" in Mauritius, my goodness it was a terrible course in a beautiful place.

El Caballo Blanco's course is interesting in that it's got massive channels of rock irrigation running through every green.

I remember years ago the lovely Mt Newman course had sump oil greens( should've been called blacks), I wonder if it's still like that given how environmentaly unfriendly it's was!
